Bueno, la semana pasada no pude participar en el reto debido a que la plataforma de PeakD presento algunos fallos momentáneos al actualizarse, dejando la pantalla del muro bloqueada sin poder escribir.

Así que esta vez haré el reto semanal de Hashkings Link del reto la cual trata sobre el Capitan Puffs

Well, last week I couldn't participate in the challenge because the peakD platform presented some momentary failures when updating, leaving the wall screen blocked without being able to write.

So this time I will do the weekly Hashkings challenge Link to the challenge which is about Captain Puffs

Al ver el personaje de referencia, empece a elaborar el boceto en hoja y lapiz, y pues varias ideas llegaban a mi mente dejando fluir el trazo.

Lo mas obvio era que el capitan tiene esa onda de chico de los años 50, como fonzie de la serie happy days, asi como un peinado de copete que me recordo bastante a Elvis, por la postura de manos señalando al publico.

When I saw the reference character, I started to elaborate the sketch on paper and pencil, and several ideas came to my mind letting the stroke flow.

The most obvious was that the captain has that 50's boy vibe, like fonzie from the happy days series, as well as a topknot hairstyle that reminded me a lot of Elvis, because of the posture of his hands pointing to the public.

Asi mismo varias ideas tenian tambien a mi mente, puede que sea un hombre atractivo como Vaselina (Grease) y que debio ir a prestar servicio militar mientras estaba en el colegio.

Por ello pense en dejarlo con rasgos apuestos.

Una ves en el Programa SAI, hice la linea de arte y pues añadi algunos elementos distintivos del personaje de referencia.

Also several ideas came to my mind, maybe he is a handsome man like Vaseline (Grease) and he must have gone to military service while he was in school.

So I thought of leaving him with handsome features.

Once in the SAI Program, I did the lineart and then added some distinctive elements of the reference character.

¿Si lo vuelvo demasiado demacrado, perderá su atractivo?
¿si lo hago igual a la referencia de ejemplo en que varié el trazo?

Asi que esta vez, no le puse elementos que le dejaran como un zombie sucio y feo.

If I make it the same as the example reference where I varied the stroke?

So this time, I didn't put in elements that would make him look like a dirty, ugly zombie.

Tambien pense en añadirle mas capas de colores , pero al empezar a poner los puntos en la cara, note que si daba un efecto de puntillismo, ya no deberia de hacer sombras

y de paso se obtiene un efecto retro y sucio a la vez.

Añadi al final algo de pelo en su pecho para reflejar algo de virilidad, ya que el tono verde puede que le de un efecto de debilidad al ser opaco.

Pense en añadir luego fondos como tanques y helicópteros de pixabay, pero desistí de la idea "ya que como resultado el personaje ya estaba listo".

I also thought about adding more layers of colors, but when I started to put the dots on the face, I noticed that if it gave a pointillism effect, I shouldn't make shadows anymore.

and at the same time you get a retro and dirty effect at the same time.

I added at the end some hair on his chest to reflect some virility, as the green tone may give him a weak effect to be opaque.

I thought about adding later backgrounds like tanks and helicopters from pixabay, but I gave up the idea "since as a result the character was already ready".

Puede que inventarle una historia hubiese sido interesante, pero como es una guerra con varios zombies como soldados, la respuesta obvia es un suero experimental.
Y si, ya esta muy quemada la trama para exprimirla mas.
Asi que todos los soldados tienen el mismo suero.

Maybe inventing a story would have been interesting, but since it's a war with several zombies as soldiers, the obvious answer is an experimental serum.
And yes, the plot is already too burned out to squeeze it more.
So all the soldiers have the same serum.
