Hola amigos de Hive, a continuación quiero compartir Operation Flashpoint : Crisis en la Guerra Fría, un Shooter en primera persona lanzado en el año 2001 para PC, como lo he hecho un hábito ya, cada tanto instalo algún Demo desde los discos de mis antiguas revistas de PC, y el día de hoy le toca a este juego que si bien no parece un gran juego, creo que tiene cosas interesantes que destacar.

Hello friends of Hive, next I want to share Operation Flashpoint : Cold War Crisis, a first person shooter released in 2001 for PC, as I have made it a habit now, every now and then I install some Demo from the disks of my old PC magazines, and today is the turn of this game that although it does not seem a great game, I think it has interesting things to highlight.

Las primeras impresiones sobre este juego no fueron muy positivas, me parece que gráficamente, no se esforzaron tanto, tal vez le pusieron más empeño a otras características del juego, y es que bueno gráficamente, parece un juego de 1998, pues en comparación con juegos como Medal of Honor o Return to Castle Wolfenstein la diferencia es grande. Además len esta versión Demo el escenario disponible es sumamente amplio y parece poco planificado. Pero tal vez son ideas mías, pues estas cosas podrían jugar a favor, pues vemos a nuestros enemigos desde una gran distancia, y esto le añade un toque de realismo, tendremos que desplazarnos bastante en el mapa, tal cual lo haría un pelotón.

The first impressions about this game were not very positive, it seems to me that graphically, they did not make much effort, perhaps they put more effort to other features of the game, and it is that graphically, it looks like a game of 1998, because compared to games like Medal of Honor or Return to Castle Wolfenstein the difference is great. Also in this Demo version the available scenery is extremely wide and seems poorly planned. But maybe they are my ideas, because these things could play in favor, because we see our enemies from a great distance, and this adds a touch of realism, we will have to move around a lot on the map, just as a platoon would do.

Lo que si me gustó es que la historia de la misión se va hilando de buena forma con diálogos, con acciones, en ese aspecto esta muy bien logrado, a mi me gusta mucho que un juego me suministre una historia, por sencilla que sea, pero me da una justificación para jugar, algo que imaginar, que me haga adentrarme en la atmósfera y en el juego como tal.

What I did like is that the story of the mission is spun in a good way with dialogues, with actions, in that aspect it is very well done, I really like that a game gives me a story, however simple it is, but it gives me a justification to play, something to imagine, that makes me get into the atmosphere and the game as such.

En cuanto al sonido, está bien logrado, no tiene música, pero no se si sea necesario, durante la misión oímos a nuestro pelotón, a nuestro líder, y a nosotros mismos, dando instrucciones o informando. Los disparos tiene un sonido realista, la explosiones… creo que está bastante decente al respecto.

As for the sound, it is well achieved, it has no music, but I do not know if it is necessary, during the mission we hear our platoon, our leader, and ourselves, giving instructions or reporting. The gunfire has a realistic sound, the explosions... I think it's pretty decent in this regard.

En el video les compartí, el contenido d una revista , acerca de su editor de misiones, disponible para cualquier persona, sin necesidades de conocimientos de programación , por supuesto tiene que familiarizarse y dedicarle su tiempo, pero me parece una característica destacada del juego, que le añaden valor, y compensan cualquier contra que tenga. Al iniciar el Demo hay un mensaje que dice que no es una versión reseñable, porque obviamente ofrece muy poco, y estoy basando mi reseña en el juego, pero habiendo explicado esto, me parece valido, pues se supone que en un Demo deben entregar lo mejor para que la gente lo compre.

In the video I shared with you, the content d a review , about its mission editor, available to anyone, without programming knowledge needs , of course you have to familiarize yourself and spend your time, but it seems to me an outstanding feature of the game, that add value to it, and compensate for any cons it has. When starting the Demo there is a message that says that it is not a reviewable version, because obviously it offers very little, and I am basing my review on the game, but having explained this, it seems valid to me, because in a Demo they are supposed to deliver the best for people to buy it.

Yo creo que Operation Flashpoint, Crisis en la guerra Fria puede llegar a ser entretenido, su nivel de complejidad es moderado, bueno todas las veces que jugué terminé muerto, disparar a largas distancias no es tarea fácil, y hay que tener ojo de águila para ver a nuestros enemigos en un entorno tan grande. En conclusión me entretuve, y creo que si tienen la oportunidad de jugarlo, no está de más probarlo aunque no les prometo que les vaya a gustar. Lo dejo a juicio de cada quien.

I think Operation Flashpoint, Crisis in the Cold War can be entertaining, its level of complexity is moderate, well all the times I played it I ended up dead, shooting at long distances is not an easy task, and you have to have an eagle eye to see your enemies in such a large environment. In conclusion I was entertained, and I think that if you have the opportunity to play it, it is not superfluous to try it, although I do not promise that you will like it. I leave it to everyone's judgment.
