Sketchbook 012 - Freedom and Fish (Quick fun painting with Video)

Hi Hive!

I just love drawing/painting silhouettes, especially after having completed a more challenging project. I find it to be a very relaxing way to refresh my mind and drawing hand.

Anyone who has spent a little bit of time with me will probably know that I am quite enthusiastic when it comes to motorcycles, so, when a scene with a biker holding their helmet while looking out at the sunset, popped up while watching a bike show on tv, I was immediately inspired to grab my pens and paints.

The idea was pretty simple and easy to execute, just a few shapes to make a vaguely human shaped blob.

Added some details like really nice hair (my favourite part) and some random weird things which I am sure contain some symbolism or at least reflect on my mental and emotional state in some way that I haven't bothered to figure out.

I chose to go very stylized on my sunset inspired background, probably inspired by all the psychedelic rock I was listening to at the time!

Enough colouring and drawing to finish one finish one gel ink pen, one fineliner and two markers...and then...done!

Creating this was just pure fun inspiration pouring out onto paper.
