Hoy estoy tocando un canción que me gusta mucho de la banda británica, The Smiths. Este grupo ha sido uno de los que disfruto mucho escuchar ya que tiene un sonido tan fresco, incluso para la época en la que fueron mas conocidos.

Quizá para quienes estan dentro del mundo del indie rock de los 80s, esta banda no sea desconocida. De hecho, algunas de sus canciones fueron usadas para películas, como es el caso de There Is A Light That Never Goes Out.

Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others, es una canción que quizá no sea de las mas populares, pero en mi opinión es de los mejores riffs de guitarra que tienen. Johnny Marr, es el guitarrista de la banda, es demasiado bueno para crear riffs y melodías muy pegajosas y que tienen cierto grado de dificultad.

Replicar este riff en el piano no fue tarea fácil, básicamente me toco buscar algunos tutoriales de como tocarla y bueno el resto de la canción fluyo de manera natural. De verdad disfruto mucho de tocar este tema, y ya se ha convertido en una pieza casi obligatoria para cuando ensayo en casa.

Algo curioso de esta canción, es que entre los fans, quizá sea de los instrumentales favoritos, pero tiene una de las letras menos desarrolladas que ha hecho el cantante Morrissey. Como sea, yo la disfruto y es de mis favoritas de la banda. Espero les guste este Cover en piano.

Today I'm playing a song that I really like from the British band, The Smiths. This band has been one of those that I really enjoy listening to as they have such a fresh sound, even for the era in which they were best known.

Perhaps for those who are into the indie rock world of the 80s, this band is not unfamiliar. In fact, some of their songs were used in films, such as There Is A Light That Never Goes Out.

Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others, is a song that may not be one of the most popular, but in my opinion it is one of the best guitar riffs they have. Johnny Marr, the band's guitarist, is too good at creating riffs and melodies that are catchy and have a certain degree of difficulty.

Replicating this riff on the piano was no easy task, I basically had to look up some tutorials on how to play it and the rest of the song just flowed naturally. I really enjoy playing this song, and it has become an almost obligatory piece for when I rehearse at home.

A funny thing about this song is that among fans, it may be one of the favourite instrumentals, but it has one of the least developed lyrics Morrissey has ever written. Anyway, I enjoy it and it's one of my favourites of the band. I hope you like this piano cover.
