Thing I Don’t Need - Human Tetris (Münchhausen Cover)

Saludos para la comunidad de Music. He estado bastante ausente de aquí pero es por razones musicales, he estado trabajando mucho con mi grupo Münchhausen, en preparar varias canciones para un evento que quiero realizar en mi ciudad.

Tenemos una fecha confirmada para tocar en marzo en un sitio aquí en bogota y además que planeo hacer una fiesta con mis amigos para varias personas en la que haya música en vivo y mucho baile.

Y es por eso que hoy quiero mostrar un adelanto de lo que hemos estado ensayando para el evento de marzo. Münchhausen es un proyecto que tengo de música original, canciones que yo escribo y que quiero dar a conocer a las personas. Pero para este evento tendremos un par de covers de bandas que han sido una influencia directa para mi música.

Desde Rusia quiero presentarles a Human Tetris. Estos rusos, como casi todas las bandas de allá, han estado conquistando la escena underground de Latinoamérica. Yo los conocí por medio de YouTube hace algunos años y la verdad era un sonido que estaba buscando, un post punk con guitarras muy Indie, letras melancólicas y una batería que lo pone a bailar toda la noche.

La canción con la cual los conocí fue precisamente esta, Things I Don't Need. La verdad fue como un mundo nuevo para mi a pesar de que yo ya escuchaba post punk, pero fue tan diferente que me gustó demasiado y desde ese momento me volví fan del grupo, y tener la oportunidad de verlos en vivo.

Creo que fue desde ese concierto que decidí hacer mi proyecto y empecé a trabajar en ello. Es por eso que quería hacer como un homenaje a esa canción que me conquistó y llevó mi pensamiento a otro nivel. Los chicos con los que estoy tocando son muy talentosos y estudian bien las canciones, de verdad estoy disfrutando tocar con ellos.

Llevaba más de 3 horas cantando entonces mi voz se oye un poco cansada, pero me gocé la canción, canté, bailé y la pasé genial en este ensayo. Espero que ustedes también bailen y disfruten. Gracias por escuchar y el apoyo.

Greetings to the Music community. I've been quite absent from here but it's for musical reasons, I've been working a lot with my band Münchhausen, preparing several songs for an event I want to do in my city.

We have a confirmed date to play in March in a place here in bogota and also I plan to make a party with my friends for several people in which there will be live music and a lot of dancing.

And that's why today I want to show you a preview of what we have been rehearsing for the March event. Münchhausen is a project I have of original music, songs that I write and that I want to let people know about. But for this event we will have a couple of covers of bands that have been a direct influence on my music.

From Russia I want to introduce you to Human Tetris. These Russians, like almost all the bands from there, have been conquering the underground scene in Latin America. I met them through YouTube a few years ago and the truth was a sound I was looking for, a post punk with very Indie guitars, melancholic lyrics and drums that make you dance all night long.

The song with which I met them was precisely this one, Things I Don't Need. The truth was like a new world for me even though I already listened to post punk, but it was so different that I liked it too much and from that moment I became a fan of the band, and I had the opportunity to see them live.

I think it was from that concert that I decided to do my project and started working on it. That's why I wanted to do like a tribute to that song that conquered me and took my thinking to another level. The guys I'm playing with are very talented and they study the songs well, I'm really enjoying playing with them.

I had been singing for more than 3 hours so my voice sounds a bit tired, but I enjoyed the song, I sang, danced and had a great time in this rehearsal. I hope you also dance and enjoy it. Thanks for listening and support.
