El arte de hacer música urbana. Una reflexión sobre los sonidos que nacen de las calles.

La música que se origina en las calles de alguna ciudad, la cual no tiene un origen académico o tradicional sino que nace netamente de forma popular se le conoce con el nombre de "Música Urbana", y bien que sí cuando hablamos de ella inmediatamente a nuestra mente pensamos en Hip Hop, Rock, Rap, Reggaetón, Electrónica, Trap... Lo cierto es que géneros como la Salsa nacieron en gran medida de la urbanidad.

La música urbana tiene sus códigos, no hay nada escrito que imponga una regla pero el oído sabe diferenciar entre los estilos de música urbana, cuando es muy estilizada o muy Marginal. Es una estética que todos conocemos pero que nadie ha impuesto, sin embargo diferenciamos con bastante facilidad entre el Reggaetón y el Trap con tan solo escucharlo.

Por lo general casi todos estos estilos musicales urbanos nacieron de la necesidad de la gente común de expresarse en condiciones económicas precarias, de ahí que por ejemplo el Rap o el Trap en sus origines hayan sido música de protesta, sin embargo, a medida que se vuelve popular comienza a cambiar de matiz y se vuelve más consumible para todo público.

Este tema me lo propuso mi sobrina Mariangel Vasquez e inmediatamente acepté, tiene una armonía sencilla pero pegajosa, líneas melódicas interesantes y una letra muy bonita.

Esta canción tiene elementos de Electrónica, Reggaetón y otros estilos musicales urbanos, esta hecha con una intensión bastante comercial pero no deja de ser una canción muy bien hecha, no cualquiera logra hacer una producción así y eso es algo que ha muchos músicos les duele.

La música urbana es un arte, y como todo arte es una disciplina, saber mezclar, hacer beats, lograr que sea gustoso y comercial... No es un trabajo fácil. Ciertamente no toda la música urbana que escuchamos es arte, pues alguna es hecha de manera muy mediocre, pero, hay ciertas excepciones como esta canción que deseamos presentar para ustedes.

The music that originates in the streets of any city, which does not have an academic or traditional origin but is born purely popularly is known as "Urban Music", and well yes, when we talk about it we immediately think of Hip Hop, Rock, Rap, Reggaeton, Electronic, Trap.... The truth is that genres such as Salsa were born largely from urbanity.

Urban music has its codes, there is nothing written that imposes a rule but the ear knows how to differentiate between the styles of urban music, when it is very stylized or very Marginal. It is an aesthetic that we all know but no one has imposed, however we differentiate quite easily between Reggaeton and Trap just by listening to it.

In general almost all these urban music styles were born from the need of common people to express themselves in precarious economic conditions, hence for example Rap or Trap in its origins have been protest music, however, as it becomes popular begins to change nuance and becomes more consumable for all audiences.

This song was proposed to me by my niece Mariangel Vasquez and I immediately accepted, it has a simple but catchy harmony, interesting melodic lines and very nice lyrics.

This song has elements of Electronica, Reggaeton and other urban music styles, it is made with a very commercial intention but it is still a very well done song, not just anyone can make a production like this and that is something that hurts many musicians.

Urban music is an art, and like any art it is a discipline, knowing how to mix, make beats, make it tasteful and commercial.... It is not an easy job. Certainly not all the urban music we listen to is art, because some is made in a very mediocre way, but, there are certain exceptions like this song that we want to present to you.
