Uno de nuestros grandes placeres, tocar Música Venezolana.

Saludos a toda la comunidad de Soundmusic, por aquí les habla uno de los moderadores de éste maravilloso espacio de Hive donde podemos compartir y expresar nuestra labor musical, estoy contento de estar aquí aportando mi granito de arena.

Nuevamente estoy acompañado del gran Diego "Coquito" García (@kococuatro), mi hermano y colega musical quien es un gran cuatrista, especializado sobretodo en la Gaita Venezolana, pero sinceramente es un músico que puede desenvolverse en cualquier género o estilo musical.

Me llena de mucha satisfacción conocer a personas como él, ya que compartimos la misma pasión por nuestra idiosincrasia musical, amamos tocar la música de nuestra tierra venezolana.

El Tramao - Luis Laguna. La primera pieza que me aprendí en la mandolina.

Por lo general, las personas cuando comienzan a tocar mandolina se aprenden piezas sencillas como "¿Estrellita dónde estás?" o "Los pollitos dicen", pero en mi caso fue distinto, yo agarré la mandolina en plena pandemia del Covid-19, y como ya para ése tiempo tenía una mano izquierda entrenada por la guitarra y una lectura musical desarrollada, me fui de una vez por piezas más complejas.

La primera pieza que me aprendí en la mandolina fue el Tramao de Luis Laguna, porque siempre me quise aprender ésa pieza, es un merengue venezolano que está a 5/8, y está en la tonalidad de Sol menor, lo interesante de ésta pieza es que tiene 3 secciones "A,B y C" pero el final de la pieza es con el cierre de la sección B, algo que es un poco insólito.

Greetings to the entire Soundmusic community, here speaks one of the moderators of this wonderful Hive space where we can share and express our musical work, I am happy to be here contributing my bit.

Again I am accompanied by the great Diego "Coquito" Garcia (@kococuatro), my brother and musical colleague who is a great cuatrista, specializing mainly in the Venezuelan Gaita, but sincerely is a musician who can perform in any genre or musical style.

It fills me with great satisfaction to meet people like him, since we share the same passion for our musical idiosyncrasy, we love to play the music of our Venezuelan land.

El Tramao - Luis Laguna. The first piece I learned on the mandolin.

Usually, when people start playing mandolin they learn simple pieces like "Estrellita dónde estás?" or "Los pollitos dicen", but in my case it was different, I picked up the mandolin in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, and since by that time I already had a left hand trained by the guitar and a developed musical reading, I went for more complex pieces.

The first piece that I learned on the mandolin was the Tramao de Luis Laguna, because I always wanted to learn that piece, is a Venezuelan merengue that is 5/8, and is in the key of G minor, the interesting thing about this piece is that it has 3 sections "A, B and C" but the end of the piece is with the closing of the B section, something that is a little unusual.
