Una de las casas cerveceras más grandes de Venezuela, si no es la más grande, ha lanzado al mercado a principios de este año 2022 su más reciente producto, de la familia Solera, la cervecería polar ha lanzado su “Solera Reserva”. Hoy la pruebo junto a ustedes por primera vez, un conocido me la recomendó y me dijo solamente que esta cerveza es una edición especial, que habían mezclado antiguos métodos de fermentación en barricas de roble. Por tal razón, el color de la cerveza es de una tonalidad ámbar intenso y su sabor posee notas ahumadas.

En la página oficial de la cervecería polar no hay información de esta cerveza. Así que tuve que recurrir a otra fuente para elaborar una pequeña ficha técnica de esta cerveza. Pincha aquí para ir a la pagina donde pude apreciar los datos especificos de la cerveza.

Ficha técnica. Cerveza Solera Reserva:

• Posee 6 grados de alcohol.
• Cerveza tipo Lager.
• Carbonatación media.
• Color Ámbar intenso.

Algo que no les mencioné en el video fue el maridaje, cosa que si lo pienso bien, al degustar esta cerveza me imagino un buen chocolate oscuro con un alto contenido de cacao, ya que su amargor se equilibrará muy bien. No la tomaría en una playa o en una fiesta, creo que es lo bastante sofisticada como para degustarla en casa, con una buena compañía o leyendo un buen libro. Aunque no es mi cerveza favorita, está entre las que más me agradan. Creo que con un buen asado o como le dicen en mi tierra una “parrilla” se mezcla muy bien. Aunque es dulce, tiene equilibrio interesante y con un amargor ligero solo al final que me agrada enormemente. Además que su color ámbar oscuro, le da fuerza y carácter. Hasta diría que es un color sexy.

Tasting the Solera Reserva Beer

One of the largest brewing houses in Venezuela, if not the largest, has launched early this year 2022 its newest product, from the Solera family, Polar Brewery has launched its "Solera Reserva". Today I am tasting it with you for the first time, an acquaintance recommended it to me and told me only that this beer is a special edition, that they had blended old fermentation methods in oak barrels. For this reason, the color of the beer has an intense amber hue and its flavor has smoky notes.

• It has 6 degrees of alcohol.
• Lager type beer.
• Medium carbonation.
• Intense amber color.

Something I did not mention in the video was the pairing, which if I think about it, when tasting this beer I imagine a good dark chocolate with a high cocoa content, as its bitterness will balance very well. I wouldn't drink it on a beach or at a party, I think it's sophisticated enough to taste at home, with good company or reading a good book. Although it is not my favorite beer, it is among the ones I like the most. I think that with a good barbecue or as they say in my land a "parrilla" it mixes very well. Although it is sweet, it has an interesting balance and a light bitterness only at the end that pleases me greatly. In addition, its dark amber color gives it strength and character. I would even say it's a sexy color.
