A new console has arrived / Una nueva consola ha llegado... (+ Killer Instinct Gameplay) [Eng/Esp]

Hello friends of Hive and the Hive Gaming community, happy new year 2024 to all of you and may we conquer more games and explore new consoles in this new stage. Today I bring you a very special video, because yes, I added to my collection of consoles an Xbox One S and so I want to tell you here in the post how I got it.

The Xbox One appears on the market in 2013, as a continuation of the Xbox 360 and competition for the Playstation 4; then in 2016 and 2017 appear the Xbox One S and the Xbox One X, the latter being the most powerful and direct competition for the Ps4 Pro.

When the Xbox One S (the S is for slim) went on sale its cost was 300 dollars, we are talking in my case that I live in Colombia of approximately 1 million 200 thousand pesos. Well that price still remains, maybe 6 years ago it was a lot of money, it still is, but with so many facilities there are to pay, the monetary impact is much less painful hehe.

Now that price did not guarantee games, initially the console was sold with a controller and you could buy the disc or digital version. Currently the price of a new Xbox One S in my country can range between 1 million 200 thousand and 4 million pesos, yes, it's crazy, we are talking about between 300 dollars to 1000 dollars. What makes this difference in the price range abysmal is the edition of the console and the capacity of the same; for example we find consoles of 500 gigabytes and 1 or 2 terabytes of storage and apart with HDR support and the possibility of 4k resolution in streaming and games.

To put you in context, a week ago I bought an Xbox One S with 1 terabyte of storage, military green, used in very good condition, with a game to choose from, with a controller and without box, for the cost of 900 thousand Colombian pesos, that is, 230 U.S. dollars. I saw many options in different stores and believe me, this was one of the cheapest I got. What I didn't know was that this console is a special edition of the Battlefield game and that was what got me hooked on it, even though the console didn't come with this game in digital or physical format, which didn't really matter to me.

At that time I did not have all that money but it occurred to me to give as part payment one of my consoles, that was why I decided for the Xbox 360 S with 2 controllers, an original game and copy reader LT 3. This console was valued for 300 thousand Colombian pesos, we are talking about approximately 77 US dollars, which would leave a surplus of 600 thousand pesos which would be 153 US dollars. The Xbox 360 was with me since 2012 and was in a very good condition, as if it were new, I leave this post 👉 click here, if you want to see it, the truth is that I have another, the latest version that came out similar to the Xbox One and I wanted to give it as part payment too, but they did not accept it because it could not modify its reader to read copies, which means that for the buyer it was not profitable.

Despite everything I mention I took the risk and bought it and the game I chose (they only had 7 games) was the famous Killer Instinct; which those who are old school like me, know how brutal this game is, plus it is an exclusive game for the Xbox One. I have a Ps4 Slim with which I make gameplays for Hive, I bought it with several months of saving rewards posts; the Xbox One S I bought with money saved from Hive and a small loan that my parents made me that I already paid them. the good thing about having old consoles is that they serve for business like this 😄!!!

Hola amigos de Hive y de la comunidad Hive Gaming, feliz año 2024 para todos y que en esta nueva etapa podamos conquistar más juegos y explorar nuevas consolas. Hoy les traigo un video muy especial y es que si, añadí a mi colección de consolas una Xbox One S y por ello quiero hablarles aquí en el post de como la obtuve.

La Xbox One aparece en el mercado en el año 2013, como continuación de la Xbox 360 y competencia para la Playstation 4; luego en el año 2016 y 2017 aparecen la Xbox One S y la Xbox One X, siendo esta última la más potente y competencia directa para la Ps4 Pro.

Cuando la Xbox One S (la S es por slim) salió a la venta su costo era de 300 dólares, hablamos en mi caso que vivo en Colombia de un aproximado de 1 millón 200 mil pesos. Pues ese precio se mantiene todavía, quizás hace 6 años era mucho dinero, todavía lo sigue siendo, pero con tantas facilidades que hay para pagar, el impacto monetario es mucho menos doloroso jeje.

Ahora bien ese precio no te garantizaba juegos, inicialmente la consola se vendía con un control y podías adquirir la versión de disco o digital. Actualmente el precio de una Xbox One S nueva en mi país puede oscilar entre 1 millón 200 mil y 4 millones de pesos, sí, es una locura, hablamos de entre 300 dólares a 1000 dólares. Lo que hace abismal esta diferencia en el rango de precios es la edición de la consola y la capacidad de la misma; por ejemplo encontramos consolas de 500 gigas y de 1 o 2 terabytes de almacenamiento y aparte con soporte HDR y la posibilidad de la resolución 4k en streaming y en juegos.

Para situarlos en contexto, hace una semana compré una Xbox One S de 1 terabyte de almacenamiento, de color verde militar, usada en muy buen estado, con un juego a elegir, con un control y sin caja, por el costo de 900 mil pesos colombianos, es decir, 230 dólares americanos. Vi muchísimas opciones en diferentes tiendas y créanme, esta fue una de las más económica que conseguí. Lo que no sabía era que esta consola es una edición especial del juego Battlefield y eso fue lo que más logró engancharme a ella, pese a que la consola no traía este juego ni en digital, ni en físico, lo que realmente no me importó.

En ese momento no tenía todo ese dinero pero se me ocurrió dar como parte de pago una de mis consolas, fue por ello que me decidí por la Xbox 360 S con 2 controles, un juego original y lector de copias LT 3. Esta consola me la valoraron por 300 mil pesos colombianos, hablamos de aproximadamente 77 dólares americanos, lo que dejaría un excedente de 600 mil pesos que serían 153 dólares americanos. La Xbox 360 estuvo conmigo desde el año 2012 y estaba en un estado muy óptimo, como si estuviera nueva, les dejo arriba en este párrafo en el texto en inglés, el enlace a un post por si la quieren ver, lo cierto es que tengo otra, la última versión que salió similar a la Xbox One y quería darla como parte de pago también pero no me la aceptaron ya que no se podía modificar su lector para que leyera copias, lo que significa que para el comprador no era rentable.

A pesar de todo lo que les menciono me arriesgué y la compré y el juego que elegí (solo tenían 7 juegos) fue el famoso Killer Instinct, que quienes son old school como yo, saben lo brutal que es este juego, además que es un juego exclusivo para la Xbox One. Tengo una Ps4 con la que hago gameplays para Hive, esa la compré con varios meses de ahorro de recompensas de posts; la Xbox One S la compré con un dinero ahorrado de Hive y un pequeño préstamo que me hicieron mis padres que ya se los pagué. lo bueno de tener consolas antiguas es que sirven para negocios como este 😄!!!

Personally I feel satisfied, the console is in excellent condition as you could see in the pictures and in the video; I had a small problem with the controller, but it was fixed since the purchase gave me 3 months warranty for any eventuality. As I mentioned the console does not come with its box (which is very nice by the way) and neither the game; what I had in mind when I bought it was the color and that it was almost new.

In the video I leave you a small gameplay without comments of Killer Instinct; as I thought the game is amazing. I tell you that I already bought a Game Pass for a month to try it and what surprises I have found compared to the Playstation Store 🙃.... En lo personal me siento satisfecho, la consola está en excelente estado como pudieron apreciar en las fotos y en el video; si tuve un pequeño problema con el mando, pero ya me lo arreglaron ya que la compra me otorgó 3 meses de garantía ante cualquier eventualidad. Como les mencioné la consola no trae su caja (que es muy bonita por cierto) y tampoco el juego; lo que más tuve en cuenta al comprarla fue el color y que estaba casi nueva.

En el video les dejo un pequeño gameplay sin comentarios de Killer Instinct; tal como lo pensaba el juego es asombroso. Les cuento que ya compré una Game Pass de un mes para probar y vaya sorpresas que me he encontrado en comparación con la Playstation Store 🙃...
