HOW TO PREPARE BEAN PUDDING (MOIMOI)

    It is another day to create something sumptuous in my kitchen, I welcome you all to another edition of Creative Sunday, and I wish us all a prosperous new week.

    Today I will be preparing bean pudding which we call moimoi in Nigeria, if you know another name for this food share it in the comment section.

    INGREDIENTS USED
    💓Beans
    💓Pepper
    💓Crayfish
    💓Egg
    💓Onions
    💓Fish
    💓Seasoning cubes
    💓Salt
    💓Vegetable oil

    STEPS

    The first thing to do is to measure the quantity of beans I want to use and then soak it in lukewarm water, some prefer to use a blender to peel it and that method is very fast and stress-free but my blender is acting funny so I decided to use my hand to peel the beans so the soaking it for a minute will make it more easier to peel.

    I peeled the back and rinsed it very well, I added the pepper and onions, for this meal I used two types of pepper, I used scotch bonnet pepper and bell pepper, bell peppers make it look reddish.

    After peeling and washing the next thing is to blend it, I used a local blender to blend it and I transferred it into my pot because it is more spacious.

    I added warm water to mix my bean puree because I wanted that fluffy texture so I mixed it at intervals, I added all the ingredients and mixed thoroughly, though I did not add the ingredients at once, I did it one after the other, I firstly added onions then mixed before adding my washed crayfish, in preparing this meal I love to use the crayfish like that unlike my soup that I used powered crayfish for, I love to chew crayfish in this meal and it do add some flavor into the meal.

    I added vegetable oil and then mixed it, I tasted it for seasoning and added a little salt because I used the stock from the fish so I did not want my food to be salty, please when preparing this food you need to be mindful of the way you will add your salt and seasoning cubes.

    After all these above processes the next step is to pack the puree in my nylon, I doubled the nylon since I am not using the pouch or the plate in other to avoid it from bursting into the hot water and this can be so stressful if you puree burst in water, so doubling the pudding nylon is the best thing to do.

    This food will take one hour and some minutes to cook because you wouldn't want anything to disturb your stomach, I love to take my time to cook this food very well, this food can be paired with many things
    e.g. Bread, Garri, Custard, Rice, and so on.
