We are proud of the little things in our personal lives. But we don't think for a second, the things we are proud of. There is nothing to be proud of. What I am proud of today, I may not have tomorrow. We are made of clay, one day we will merge in that soil. So why are we so proud?

আমরা আমাদের ব্যক্তিগত জীবনে সামান্য কিছু নিয়েই অহংকার করে থাকি। কিন্তু আমরা একটি বারের জন্য চিন্তা করিনা, যে জিনিস গুলো নিয়ে অহংকার করি। সেটি নিয়ে অহংকার করার কিছুই নেই। আজ যা নিয়ে অহংকার করছি, আগামী কাল সেটি আমার নাও থাকতে পারে। আমরা মাটির তৈরি, একদিন সেই মাটিতেই আমরা মিশে যাব। তাহলে আমাদের এত অহংকার কিসের?

We are standing on that ground. That surface never boasts of anything. Or the huge sky above our heads with a roof-like cover, the sky is never arrogant. So what is our pride?

আমরা যে ভূপৃষ্ঠে দাঁড়িয়ে আছি। সেই ভূপৃষ্ঠ কোনদিন কোন কিছু নিয়ে অহংকার করে না। কিংবা আমাদের মাথার উপরে বিশাল যে আকাশ ছাদের মত ঢাকনা দিয়ে আছে, সেই আকাশ ও কোনদিন অহংকার করে না। তাহলে আমাদের অহংকারটা কিসের?

So what is so arrogant about a little position or a little money or social status? That arrogance leads us to fall. So we should give up these arrogance. Then the people around us will be as good as we are. As well as our respect and dignity will increase in the society.

তাহলে সামান্য একটা পদ নিয়ে কিংবা সামান্য কিছু টাকা নিয়ে কিংবা সামাজিক মর্যাদা নিয়ে এতো অহংকার কিসের? যে অহংকার আমাদেরকে পতনের দিকে নিয়ে যায়। তাই আমাদের উচিত এই অহংকারগুলো ত্যাগ করা। তাহলে আমরা যেমন ভালো থাকবো, তেমনি ভালো থাকবে আমাদের আশেপাশের মানুষগুলো। সেইসাথে আমাদের সম্মান এবং মর্যাদা সমাজে বেড়ে যাবে।
