Lámpara a nuestros pies es su palabra, lumbrera en nuestro caminar. Dios es luz y no hay ningunas tinieblas en él, así lo dice 1 Juan 1; y de esa luz se formaron luminares, está escrito: "vosotros sois la luz del mundo", y sal de la tierra.

Alguien dijo una vez: no somos seres terrenales buscando lo espiritual; somos seres espirituales disfrutando de una experiencia terrenal. Desde ese punto de vista tiene más sentido Mateo 6:19-21, que dice palabras semejantes a: no os hagáis tesoros en la tierra, sino haceos tesoros en el cielo, porque en donde esté vuestro tesoro, allí estará vuestro corazón.

"Acuérdate de mí, oh Jehová", es la oración del salmista, "según tu benevolencia para con tu pueblo, visítame con tu salvación; para que yo vea el bien de tus escogidos, para que me goce en la alegría de tu nación, y me gloríe con tu heredad".

His word is a lamp to our feet, a light in our walk. God is light and there is no darkness in him, so says 1 John 1; and from that light luminaries were formed, it is written: "you are the light of the world", and salt of the earth.

Someone once said: we are not earthly beings seeking the spiritual; We are spiritual beings enjoying an earthly experience. From that point of view, Matthew 6:19-21 makes more sense, which says words similar to: do not store up treasures on earth, but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, because where your treasure is, there your heart will be.
