Es importante en la carrera de un ajedrecista la interacción con jugadores de otras latitudes, si bien la internet ha roto las barreras de espacio y tiempo, nada como disputar una partida presencial, tener allí de cerca tu rival, estrecharse la mano después de finalizar la partida, y compartir opiniones en torno a la misma. Y como espectadores, al ver a veteranos de este deporte enfrentarse, es impresionante la emoción que se siente, por esa expectativa del resultado que acontecerá.
