    My Weekend Ranked Battles #11

    🇪🇸

Mi oponente invocó a Grendel, Night Terror y eliminó a mi Combat Medic.

Mi oponente aún no invoca ningún esbirro y juega Surprise Delivery.

    My Weekend Ranked Battles #11

    🇺🇸
This week I embarked on a new adventure in Gods Unchained, momentarily abandoning my faithful Zoo Light deck to explore the power of Relic War. This archetype is based on an aggressive strategy, using weapons to deal direct damage to the opponent and spells to buff them and remove threats from the board.

Join me as I explore some of the exciting battles I fought this weekend.

    Deck code:
    GU_1_6_IAYIAYKBbKBbHAgHAgBFrBFrCADCADMAhMAhCGJCGJKBtKBtKBsKBsCBBCBBKBcKBcCAZCAZMAnMAnCBCCBCCACCAC

    Battle 1, vs Zoo War:

Both players used Blade of Styx in what seemed like a mirror match, but soon the difference in strategies would become apparent. My opponent played some minions with surge mana, but I took them down with Bar Fight. At the same time, we both used our second Blade of Styx.

I took advantage of the Sanctum to summon a Combat Medic and regain some health. My opponent protected himself with a White Fur Guard, but I used Savage Strike and Vicious Rend to eliminate his minions.

My opponent summoned Grendel, Night Terror and eliminated my Combat Medic. I used Savage Strike and attacked with my weapon to finish off Grendel.

Then, my opponent passed a turn and I took advantage of it to use Mobilized, with which I managed to draw the cards to make the final combo with Whetstone and Unrestrained Power on the next turn. My opponent got overconfident and played a Commander Pyros, leaving me the way clear to improve my weapon and attack him directly with 16 points of damage.

    Battle 2, vs Control Nature:

I use my I Need A Weapon to draw a Blade of Styx, which I will not use this turn thinking about using Carnage Swap next turn. However, my enemy plays an Undersea Spellwyrm and transforms the Carnage Swap in my hand. I remove the Undersea Spellwyrm and use a Whetstone to buff my weapon and complete the combo with Unrestrained Power on the next turn. I hit hard that turn, but then my opponent uses the Sanctum and uses an Atlant Phalanx, avoiding taking direct damage from my weapon once again.

My enemy heals all his life using Winter's Bounty. I hit him again with my powerful weapon, but he only had that one point of durability left. After clearing the table, I use the Undersea Spellwyrm and with great luck I was able to transmute a second Winter's Bounty from my opponent's hand.

I take a risk by equipping myself with a Devouring Blade and then discarding it by exchanging it for a Dragonfang. I was lucky and destroyed the enemy Undersea Spellwyrm. I managed to draw the second Whetstone and seeing myself with low health I did not hesitate to improve my Dragonfang to do good damage and recover health.

My enemy plays an Ember Oni and regains some health. I rely on the Sanctum to eliminate the Ember Oni with an Ogre Archer while I continue to attack directly with my weapon. With the help of the Sanctum cards, I keep control of the table while continuing to deal damage with my weapon until the enemy plays a Reckless Flamebreather, which I ignore to continue attacking directly the enemy's health points, who now controls the board. However, on the next turn by attacking with a Blade of Styx and complementing with Vicious Rend, I end up winning the game.

    Battle 3, vs Control Deception:

I am lucky enough to draw the 2 Whetstone and 2 Unrestrained Power at the start. Both players spend several turns until I manage to equip myself with a Devouring Blade on turn 3 to face the enemy minions. I decide not to apply the Whetstone + Unrestrained Power combo since I have a single-use weapon. Instead, I play a Wolf-Cult Vanguard to have a presence on the board and pressure the enemy minions to come out.

My opponent has not summoned any minions yet and plays Surprise Delivery. I take advantage of this turn to use Mobilized and reduce the mana cost of my combo. Finally, I resign myself to using my weapon to be able to equip myself with a Dragonfang, on which I will be able to apply the combo on the next turn.

Finally, I end up creating a weapon with 18 attack points. With it I recover my health points and deal significant damage to the enemy, leaving him with 5 health points. On the next turn, I finish the game.
