    My Weekend Ranked Battles #9

    🇪🇸

    My Weekend Ranked Battles #9

    🇺🇸

This weekend, I played my Zoo Light deck again, a deck I have been playing for several weeks with a good win rate. This time, I achieved 11 wins and remained in the Auric Gold league, securing at least one pack from the new expansion.

Here are 3 of my weekend battles:

    Battle 1, vs Ramp Magic:

When facing a mage, I tend to be very cautious, as I know they can easily remove my minions with their spells. That's why I try to use my hero power as much as possible and manage the number of cards in my hand. This allows me to maintain a presence on the board without saturating it, which makes my opponents use their spells inefficiently.

In this game, even though my opponent used a powerful spell like Curved Blast to destroy my minions, they could never clear the board and take control. They left my minions alive on multiple turns, and they didn't survive when I could buff them with Radiant Dawn.

    Battle 2, vs Zoo War:

War decks often start the game aggressively. That's why I prepare with a weapon and a minion with protection so I can react immediately on the next turn. I remove the enemy minion with my weapon and play an Imperioan Pacifist and a minion with frontline to ensure that the Imperioan Pacifist survives the next turn.

Thanks to the Vanguard Axewoman, I can keep the enemy side clean for a couple of turns. When the enemy starts using their strong cards, I have to start trading effectively, knowing that I have Asterius in my hand waiting for the right moment to be played.

Thanks to Asterius, I clean the board again and regain total control of the board. Then, even though my opponent plays strong minions, I always have the damage necessary to eliminate them. At the same time, I slowly buff an Aging Veteran, with which I can end the game victoriously.

    Battle 3, vs Olympian Light:

I try to populate my side of the field with several minions, but an enemy Kadmos ruins the moment. I don't have enough damage to defeat it in the turn it is summoned, and then, when my opponent equips an Aegis of the Innocent, it becomes impossible to destroy it.

Behind this defense, my opponent develops their game by summoning useful and powerful minions that I cannot touch. For a moment, I think the battle is lost and I think about giving up, but I still have hope of drawing a Radiant Dawn, Asterius, or at least a Vesper of Concession to try to break their weapon.

Despite not giving up, the inevitable end comes. I never drew the cards that could have helped me damage the enemy Kadmos and I lost the battle.
