Greetings Hive friends! I hope you are well, a few days ago I published on Twitter about which Christmas carols they wanted to hear on the recorder and some people responded and I wanted to please them by making this series of publications, in this first instance I am playing the Venezuelan Christmas carol "El niño criollo" as I wanted to know how it sounded on the alto flute that I recently bought and I did it to please the beautiful @marybellrg who was the first to comment even though she asked me for the song "El Niño Jesús llanero" but it will be for another occasion, I couldn't make an accompaniment with the # four Venezuelan but still I hope you like it ...

Created in 1962, El Niño Criollo is an icon of Venezuelan Christmas. Its composer, Luis Morales Bance, remembers that he was born in the house of the Venezuelan pianist, Rosario Marciano, a meeting place for a group of Venezuelan musicians who performed 19th century Christmas bonuses, as tradition dictated. “A member of the group, Isabel Herrera, arrived one day with the lyrics. I was very surprised that the stanzas were eight syllables and not hexasyllables like most ”, says the renowned musician who created the music of El Niño Criollo when he was only 16 years old and taking as a model the Christmas bonuses of the teachers Vicente Emilio Sojo and José Antonio Calcaño.
