Hive.Blog VS Peakd | Number Of Posts Line Chart Race Animation

Hive.blog and Peakd are the most used frontends on the Hive blockchain. These two have been in close race when it comes to the number of posts made from each of them. I have been playing around with line chart race animation and decided to make one for Hive.blog and Peakd.

We will be looking into the period since the Hive blockchain was created starting from the end of March 2020 till now.

Lets see how this one goes 😊.

When the blockchain was created Peakd has higher numbers of posts coming from it. Just above 1000 posts per day compared to around 800 coming from Hive.Blog. Then the pump in the price happened and the number of posts from both frontends increased to more than 1500 posts per day. Post form Hive.blog increased a bit more and hive.blog had the lead in that period.
In the next period the price went down and the posts as well. The numbers of posts from hive.blog went down faster than Peakd, as it gained the lead again.

In the following months after June as the price kept dropping so does the posts but the drop in the number of posts from hive.blog was bigger. When the HardFork happened at the start of October, the number of posts from hive.blog dropped again. Since then Peakd is continues to be the most used hive frontend with around 900 posts per day compared to the hive.blog averaged around 700 posts per day. Ecency and LeoFinance are the other frontends with a lot of posts coming from them but still not close to the numbers of these two.
