Two decades ago, one day, there was a great mobility of people from any corner of the national territory with only one purpose which was to go to one of the most important international concerts in Latin America which was called Caracas Pop Festival 2002. To see **Pink Floyd ** live! Live? I don't think so... that's impossible I thought until the big day arrived. I had the opportunity to see this extraoridinary band in my country...! 🤘🎸
I remember the place was a bit far away from the city like in a hacienda, we left early in the morning several friends, when we arrived to the place there was a long road that we had to cross making a gigantic line, each one with his ticket, it looked like a procession more than anything else... we walked evenly until we arrived to the exact point, and when we entered I ran into the soundcheck in front of the stage at approximately 4 o'clock in the afternoon...
I remember that I looked back with my back to the stage and a little far away there were some gigantic speakers pointing towards me that made me curious, then I asked and they told me that for the first time the quadraphonic sound was going to be used for the first time in this concert.
Indeed, when they began to test the sound, they launched some tracks with barking dogs that seemed to have them next to me, it was impressive, then I said "This is going to get good".
At one point I got close to the stage and there were few people and someone stood next to me to see the test someone tall with dreadlocks and I said "this must be a musician or sound engineer" then when the concert started I saw him at the keyboard, on stage next to roger waters and then introduced him as his son! 😅
I hope you liked this little anecdote and that you continue having a good time Happy Retro Thursday to all, and a musical hug ! 🎸🤘
