GRWM para un evento de crecimiento personal en mi ciudad [ESP/ENG]

Hello Hivers! En esta oportunidad les quería compartir el primer ***GRWM (GET READY WITH ME)*** que hice. Siempre había visto en redes este formato y tenía curiosidad de hacerlo, pero no me animaba. Sin embargo, en esta semana me pasaron la invitación a un evento sobre crecimiento personal y networking, y fue que me dije que era el momento para hacer este video.

Hello Hivers! This time I wanted to share with you the first GRWM (GET READY WITH ME) I made. I had always seen this format in networks and I was curious to do it, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. However, this week I was invited to an event about personal growth and networking, and I thought it was the right time to make this video.

El evento era a las 6 de la tarde, en una nueva heladería y cafetería en la zona centro sur y para asistir, nos informaron que el código de vestimenta era “Smart Casual”. Yo tuve que buscar más inspiración en el amigo “Pinterest”, ya que las referencias enviadas casi todas tenían zapatillas deportivas, jeans y blazer. No estoy en contra de estas prendas, pero ya las he visto mucho en varios eventos y cumpleaños acá. Así que decidí ir a mi clóset y ver cuál outfit podía crear.

The event was at 6pm, at a new ice cream shop and coffee shop in the south central area and to attend, we were informed that the dress code was "Smart Casual ". I had to look for more inspiration on "Pinterest" friend, as the references sent almost all had sneakers, jeans and blazer. I'm not against these clothes, but I've already seen them a lot in several events and birthdays here. So I decided to go to my closet and see what outfit I could create.

En Chile ya es otoño. En Antofagasta, la temperatura ronda entre los 20° a 14° con bastante brisa fuerte incluida, ya que en donde vivo es una zona costera. Por ello, necesitaba una camisa abrigada o usar alguna chaqueta. Así que opté por una camisa color burdeos de cuello alto o “beatle”, como es más conocida en el país, forrada de tela polar, que es como una tela que te da calorcito en estos días de otoño e invierno.

In Chile it is already autumn, so the temperature is around 20° to 14° with quite a strong breeze included, since where I live is a coastal area. I needed a warm shirt or a jacket. For that reason, I opted for a burgundy shirt with a high collar or "beatle", as it is better known in the country, lined with fleece, which is like a fabric that gives you warmth in these autumn and winter days.

Recordé un pantalón de tela beige con unos detalles dorados en la pretina, que compré hace unos meses para una fiesta empresarial. Este pantalón tiene un calce perfecto. Se ajusta al cuerpo sin apretar, lo cual me fascina.

I remembered a pair of beige fabric pants with gold details on the waistband, which I bought a few months ago for a corporate party. This pant has a perfect fit. It fits the body without being tight, which fascinates me.

Confieso que no soy fan del marrón, camel, nude o beige, porque soy una persona que disfruta usar colores fuertes. Sin embargo, he de admitir que tener en tu clóset prendas, accesorios y zapatos de estas tonalidades, te ayudan mucho a crear diferentes tipos de outfits. En mi caso que amo usar amarillo, fucsia, naranja, rojo, verde; es vital que las tenga para tener un balance de color en mis looks. Así que, por esa razón, estoy más dispuesta a invertir en ello.

I confess that I am not a fan of brown, camel, nude or beige, because I am a person who enjoys wearing strong colors. However, I have to admit that having clothes, accessories and shoes in these shades in your closet, help you a lot to create different types of outfits. In my case I love to wear yellow, fuchsia, orange, red, green; it is vital that I have them to have a balance of color in my looks. So, for that reason, I am more willing to invest in it.

Para la misma ocasión que compré el pantalón, también compré unos zapatos de punta, color beige, los cuales siento que súper cómodos y elegantes. Puedo aguantar unas cuantas horas con ellos puestos. Al tener una rodilla lesionada y un dedo del pie, estos zapatos son perfectos para cualquier evento formal que tenga. ¿Quién dijo que todos los tacos eran para sufrir? 😅

For the same occasion that I bought the pants, I also bought some beige pointed toe shoes, which I feel are super comfortable and elegant. I can last a few hours with them on. Having an injured knee and toe, these shoes are perfect for any formal event I have. Who said all heels were for suffering?

Pero la gran estrella de este outfit, es mi amado blazer “oversized”. Aunque al principio no lo quería usar, decidí hacerlo porque era la oportunidad de estrenarlo. Bueno, ni tanto. ¿Pueden creer que ese blazer lo conseguí en una tienda de segunda mano a 3.000 pesos chilenos (5USD aprox)? Es demasiado elegante y eleva cualquier look. Y así me sentí yo con él puesto.

But the star of this outfit is my beloved oversized blazer. Although I didn't want to wear it at first, I decided to do it because it was the opportunity to wear it for the first time. Well, not really, can you believe that I got this blazer in a thrift store for 3,000 Chilean pesos (5USD approx)? It's so elegant and elevates any look. And that's how I felt wearing it.

Yo amo ir a esas tiendas porque he visto y conseguido joyitas de ropa. Creo que pronto les hago un post sobre ello.

I love going to these stores because I've seen and gotten some great clothes. I think I'll do a post about it soon.

Finalicé con accesorios dorados porque adoro este color, un moño alto para estilizar mi cara y mi cuello por el tipo de camisa que usaba, y una cartera beige que lleva tiempo conmigo, la cual también la encontré en estas tiendas de ropa reciclada.

I finished with gold accessories because I love this color, a high bun to stylize my face and my neck because of the type of shirt I was wearing, and a beige purse that has been with me for a long time, which I also found in these recycled clothing stores.

💄MAQUILLAJE💄

En cuanto al maquillaje, decidí hacerme uno estilo “soft glam” o un maquillaje más neutro. Usé solo tonos marrones en mis ojos, un delineado sutil en negro, máscara de pestañas y un toque de luz dorada que le quise dar a mi mirada, cerrando el make up con un labial cremoso en tono marrón.

As for the makeup, I decided to do a "soft glam" style or a more neutral makeup. I used only brown tones in my eyes, a subtle black eyeliner, mascara and a touch of golden light that I wanted to give to my look, closing the make up with a creamy lipstick in brown tone.

Siento que fue muy acertada la idea de darnos un código de vestimenta, ya que a veces nos ponemos lo primero que encontramos o lo mismo de siempre, y no nos damos la oportunidad de intentar un estilo diferente. En mi caso, amo probar diferentes estilos y prendas, y me emociona muchísimo cuando debo ir para algún evento porque es el momento ideal que tengo de inspirarme y crear un outfit. También creo que la razón por la cual lo pidieron fue porque al ser una actividad sobre crecimiento personal, la ropa también juega un papel fundamental. Esta tiene el poder de elevarte o minimizarte. Por eso es vital que siempre uses lo que te hace sentir cómoda pero que también te haga sentir bella y segura.

I feel that the idea of giving us a dress code was a very good idea, because sometimes we wear the first thing we find or the same thing we always wear, and we don't give ourselves the opportunity to try a different style. In my case, I love to try different styles and outfits, and I get very excited when I have to go to an event because it is the ideal moment to get inspired and create an outfit. I also think that the reason why they asked for it was because since it is an activity about personal growth, clothes also play a fundamental role. It has the power to lift you up or throw you down. That's why it's vital that you always wear what makes you feel comfortable but also makes you feel beautiful and confident.
