    About :

    An organist friend of mine by the name of Phil, in the US, has been kind enough to send me his compositions based on hymn tunes throughout the year. I think he was even on a streak of a composition a week for about 3 months! His pieces are very accessible and useful in services—as that's exactly why he composed them! He has amassed a wide variety of preludes, offertories, interludes and postludes appropriate to the theme presented each Sunday.

    Not too long ago, Phil sent me a message asking me if I'd like to offer a suggestion for a composition. I gladly took up his offer and asked him for a postlude on Hark! The Herald Angels Sing! I also said it would be great if it could be in the style of a French Toccata :) Earlier this week, Phil emailed me this lovely present—the Postlude on Hark! The Herald Angels Sing! Whilst not a French Toccata, it's a fabulous and catchy arrangement, I hope you will agree. I'm amazed at the creativity possible in just over two minutes of musical excitement. Thanks Phil!

    This was recorded on the Siedlar instrument at St. John Cantius Church, Poland using the Hauptwerk VPO software.

    Yours truly,
    @contrabourdon
