The park in my city has become a natural habitat for parrots in the last ten years. This bird species, of course, is not typical of the Mediterranean but the increasingly accommodating climate has favored a migration and population of many similar areas.
Despite the beauty of the parrots, with their green color and colorful shades, they have become a pest breed as it has practically destroyed the nests of sparrows or less populous birds, forcing the latter species to migrate elsewhere.
The parrots have thus formed very showy nests, also called condominiums, inhabited by real families, and during the day the incessant maintenance work of their homes is very evident. It's really fascinating to watch them hum, often argue with each other, and fly around looking for twigs or food.
