Greatest people of Africa, it's a pleasure to be here exploring the African style of music once again, I love the fact that our ancestors also operated with the music vibes and we are to carry on from them, thanks to the admin of this community for bringing to us this awesome platform.
I really enjoyed last week's contest seeing different beautiful entries, it's also a thing of joy to see that our African musics are being promoted on the blogchain, it means we are not in anyway left behind.
For a long time I've been procrastinating to share this song with you guys, I've known this song for almost a year and I had it in mind to do a cover of the song a long time ago but I was just too lazy, I felt I will be a hard work, I concluded even before giving it a try and it wasn't actually a big deal, my actual plan was to do a double casting in the video because the song was actually done by two people but I found a way to do the cover without the stress of double casting.
The song is titled YOU ARE MY GOD by Keastrings featuring Minister KI, when I first heard it, it sounded like a rock song so I thought it would be a bit stressful but I latter realized it wasn't that stressful.
The message from the song is clearly stated in the lyrics, having God around us lessens the burden of life, it makes us have this confident because we are like mountain Zion that cannot be moved, with this understanding no situation in life can way us down because we are founded in God himself.
Verse]
Yes I’m glad
My heart is calm
You’re my peace
I can’t be moved
Like Zion’s hill
My feet are still
Oh Yes I’m glad
My heart is calm
You’re my peace
I can’t be moved
Like Zion’s hill
My feet are still
Cos I am surrounded by You
Oh Yes I’m glad
My heart is calm
You’re my peace
I can’t be moved
Like Zion’s hill
My feet are still
