Un saludo amistoso queridos Hivers, me alegra estar nuevamente rockeando con ustedes en la semana 49 de Pukumundo. Esta vez he traído un fragmento de la icónica canción Stairway to Heaven de la banda estadounidense Led Zeppelin. Desde su publicación en 1971 esta se ha convertido en una de las canciones más querida por los fans del rock, así como de otras personas que no necesariamente se identifican con la cultura del rock o el metal, pues esta forma parte del imaginario musical a nivel global.

Fue compuesta por Jimmy Page y Robert Plant, el guitarrista y el cantante de la legendaria banda. A lo largo de su trayectoria ha sido reconocida como una de las mejores canciones de la historia del rock, así como el mejor solo de guitarra. Muchos creen que su letra trata sobre la eterna búsqueda de la esperanza, esa escalera al cielo que todos buscamos a lo largo de nuestra vida, sobre todo en los momentos de mayor adversidad.

Nunca había tocado esta canción, quise hacerlo cuando comencé a tocar guitarra y estaba muy joven, pero en ese entonces me pareció un poco complicada. Sin embargo aquí estoy varios años después, tocándola y solo me tomo unos minutos, creo que la canción se ha vuelto un poco más sencilla con los años ¿Será? O ¿seré yo quien se ha vuelto un poco mejor? No se sabe.
