Hola, amigos de #GeekZone, hoy les traigo una nueva aventura. Siguiendo con la temática que tanto me gusta de plataformas y puzzles, ahora les comparto el primer gameplay de Limbo. Este juego fue muy famoso hace unos años debido a su temática y estética, personalmente tenía ganas de jugarlo desde hace tiempo, pero por alguna razón u otra no lo había hecho, es más, el próximo juego en mi lista era uno llamado Inside y no este. Sin embargo, después de averiguar un poco, descubrí que era de los mismos desarrolladores de Limbo y que había salido después de ese, así que decidí ponerle pausa y comenzar con el que hoy les traigo.

El juego está disponible tanto en Epic Games como en Steam, sin embargo, yo lo estoy jugando en Android, ya que para mi suerte (y sorpresa), está disponible en mi biblioteca familiar (supongo que mi esposo lo compró en algún momento sin decirme, jajaja). Después de verificar que funcionara todo bien y que fuera compatible con mi gamepad para el teléfono, comencé con esta aventura a blanco y negro.

Como mencioné anteriormente, se trata de un juego de plataformas con desplazamiento lateral, en el cual tomamos el control de un niño que se encuentra en un lugar peligroso en el cual debemos encontrar a nuestra hermana y escapar de todas las amenazas que nos asechan. En lo que llevo de camino he encontrado enemigos totalmente aterradores, los peores definitivamente son unas arañas gigantes que nos persiguen y con un golpe de sus enormes patas nos matan. También nos hemos encontrado con otros niños que buscan hacernos daño, por alguna extraña razón.

Tiene una dinámica de juego interesante, ya que solo podemos saltar y empujar cosas, así que dependemos del entorno y de nuestro ingenio para avanzar y derrotar a quien nos quiera lastimar, que es prácticamente todo ser vivo que nos encontramos. Los puzzles son interesantes, lógicos y fluidos, algunos son algo escabrosos, puesto que en ocasiones tuvimos que hacer uso de cadáveres para ayudarnos a sortear un obstáculo o una trampa. Pero, a pesar de eso, los he encontrado entretenidos, aunque no tan retadores como esperaba.

Visualmente, tiene un diseño sencillo, pero a la vez atractivo. En general, hacen un uso extraordinario de todos los matices blanco y negro, no obstante, hubo algunas partes en las que me costó distinguir detalles. Aunque eso también puede deberse a que lo estoy jugando en el teléfono y no en la computadora. En cuanto a la musicalización, también destaca, logran crear un ambiente opresivo y estresante que compagina a la perfección con lo lúgubre del lugar del que estamos intentando escapar. Hasta ahora me ha parecido un juego bastante bueno y lo he disfrutado mucho. Además de ser perfecto para esta semana de Halloween y Día de Muertos.

A black and white journey | "Limbo" - Gameplay

Hello #GeekZone friends, today I bring you a new adventure. Continuing with the theme that I like so much of platformers and puzzles, now I share with you the first gameplay of Limbo. This game was very famous a few years ago due to its theme and aesthetics, personally I had been wanting to play it for a long time, but for some reason or another I hadn't done it, in fact, the next game on my list was one called Inside and not this one. However, after a bit of research, I found out that it was from the same developers as Limbo and that it came out after that one, so I decided to put it on pause and start with the one I'm bringing you today.

The game is available on both Epic Games and Steam, however, I'm playing it on Android, since to my luck (and surprise), it's available in my family library (I guess my husband bought it at some point without telling me, haha). After verifying that everything worked fine and that it was compatible with my gamepad for my phone, I started with this black and white adventure.

As I mentioned before, it's a side-scrolling platformer, in which we take control of a boy who finds himself in a dangerous place where we must find our sister and escape from all the threats that are threatening us. Along the way I've encountered some absolutely terrifying enemies, the worst of which are definitely giant spiders that chase us and with a swipe of their huge legs kill us. We've also encountered other children who are out to harm us, for some strange reason.

It has an interesting gameplay dynamic, as we can only jump and push things, so we depend on the environment and our wits to advance and defeat whoever wants to hurt us, which is practically every living thing we come across. The puzzles are fascinating, logical, and fluid, some of them are a bit tricky, as sometimes we had to make use of corpses to help us get around an obstacle or a trap. But, despite that, I found them entertaining, although not as challenging as I expected.

Visually, it has a simple, yet attractive design. In general, they make extraordinary use of all the black and white shades, however, there were some parts where I found it hard to make out details. Although that could also be due to the fact that I'm playing it on my phone and not on my computer. As for the music, it also stands out, they manage to create an oppressive and stressful atmosphere that matches perfectly with the gloomy place we are trying to escape from. So far I've found it to be a pretty good game, and I've enjoyed it a lot. It's also perfect for this Halloween and Day of the Dead week.
