    About :

Hello, dear friends! It's a pleasure to be back on here, and I've missed sharing my travel experiences with all of you. My apologies for the hiatus, but work has kept me quite busy lately. Nevertheless, I'm thrilled to take you on a journey to a tranquil place I recently discovered.

As a blogger, I recently had the opportunity to explore the breathtaking landscape of Dia Tang Phi Lai Tu Pagoda, nestled in the heart of Ninh Trung village, Liem Son commune, Thanh Liem district, Ha Nam province.

This hidden gem is a serene oasis amidst a lush green pine forest, offering a stark contrast to the bustling urban life of Hanoi, located approximately 70 kilometers away.

Sometimes, we have to travel great distances to find beauty and tranquility. Often likened to a "fairy scene" in the Ha Nam region, this pagoda is a harmonious blend of unique architecture, pure surroundings, and an overall serene atmosphere that beckons visitors seeking solace and spiritual connection.

    Sun-Kissed Adventure:

To reach this tranquil haven, my group embarked on a memorable motorbike journey from Hanoi. The scenic ride was a delightful experience, allowing us to soak in the natural beauty of the countryside.

The sunny weather was terrible , it also meant I didn't want to wear the typical ninja outfits for photos. My close friend, @thanhnga99, who had retired from travel blogging two years ago, joined me on this exploration. However, for those without access to a motorbike, there are convenient limousine services available from Hanoi with reasonable fares, ensuring easy access to this peaceful retreat.

    Architectural Marvel:

Upon arriving at Dia Tang Phi Lai Tu Pagoda, I was immediately captivated by the vast and serene temple grounds. The architecture of the temple is a testament to its rich history, boasting distinctive Cham Pa design elements. What truly stood out for me was the intricate network of white gravel pathways, meticulously laid out on the temple grounds.

These pathways are not just visually appealing; they hold a deeper significance. Twelve circles, intricately drawn on a bed of white pebbles, represent the 12 human conditions. As I walked along these paths, I couldn't help but feel a sense of purity and tranquility with every step, akin to gliding on the gentlest of waters.

    A Fairytale Landscape:

One of the most striking features of Dia Tang Phi Lai Tu Pagoda is its distinctive tiled pagoda roofs, a familiar sight for Vietnamese people.

These roofs add a touch of authenticity and cultural richness to the landscape. The pagoda's architecture is deeply rooted in Buddhist tradition, adorned with intricate dark brown patterns and meticulous attention to detail. The result is a gentle, slightly serene beauty that captures the essence of Buddhist aesthetics.

To the right of the Three Jewels building, I discovered the Patriarch's Church, a sacred space dedicated to the worship of the 42 generations of patriarchs who once resided at the pagoda. Nearby, there's a small palace devoted to Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, Monsignor, and Saint Hien. The housing area for monks and nuns, along with the lecture hall, where daily sermons and retreats are held, reflect the vibrant spiritual life of the temple.

    A place to find peace:

The temple even provides accommodation in the form of guest houses for tourists from around the world, as well as those participating in retreats and spiritual experiences. Dia Tang Phi Lai Tu Pagoda not only serves as a place of sacred worship but also as a hub for spiritual activities for the local community. It imparts the fundamental values of Buddhism, offering solace and comfort to those who seek it.

Furthermore, a visit to Dia Tang Phi Lai Tu Pagoda wouldn't be complete without ascending the mountain behind it. This climb offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire temple complex. As I ascended the stairs, I couldn't help but find the path intriguing.

Unlike many tourist destinations with clearly marked signposts, this path felt like a metaphor for life itself, where each individual must choose their own unique journey.

In conclusion, my visit to Dia Tang Phi Lai Tu Pagoda in Ha Nam province was a truly enriching experience. It offered a glimpse into the deep-rooted traditions of Vietnamese Buddhism while providing a haven of peace and serenity. I am grateful for the opportunity to discover such remarkable places and share them with the world.
