Finally, the time came when I needed to visit my office at Pune, India. This is my first visit after Covid, and things appear to be coming back to normal now. I came to Pune six years back, and train was the only means of transport then, taking more than 30 hours. Things have changed and now we do have a direct flight to Pune, operated by AirAsia. If you are planning to travel by air, then I strongly recommend to look for options in https://www.skyscanner.co.in/ . They have pretty good deals and I was very happy with the price that got me the return trip. So yesterday, the day came to fly and my son gave the company to drop outside the apartment.
The check in was nice, apparently, the flight was full, because of Sunday. The flight operates from Kolkata via Bhubaneswar. So it becomes a direct flight for us. Here are some captures inside the Bhubaneswar airport. Seems, they have maintained better cleanliness now.
Here comes some captures above the sky. I am a big fan of blue sky and the perfect combination of cloud with the blue sky, was stunning combination. As you can see, we don't have lot of high rise buildings at my place.
The crew surprised me inside the flight by presenting me snacks and at first I politely refused saying I have not ordered anything. However, they said, as this was a Corporate booking so they have this as part of the journey offer. Sounds good, who does not love such freebies.
I did carry a noise cancellation headphone this time to enjoy a movie onboard, which I downloaded earlier in Prime. And I loved the courtesy of the Cabin crew - they did help me to put my very heavy hand bag carefully having two laptops . Even though there was a little delay in the departure, seems they adjusted some time and arrived as expected. Here comes some captures as we were about to land.
Look at those high rise buildings , appears like blocks placed by a neat architecture. As we were about to land, there was announcement to not use Camera inside the airport as its a military base (owned by Indian Air Force) and photography is prohibited. But then they have some places, which seems to be meant for photography.
As soon as I came out, I could figure out the presence of the military base, as you can see. Some military vehicles without any number plate was there to pick up their VIP.
AirAsia did ask me to share my experience and this post will be used as review of my first experience with them. Let them also know about HIVE.
