Hello everyone. I hope you are feeling well. Today I bring you this time lapse video where I show you the makeup process. I have chosen a gothic style, because I have always liked it and it characterizes me. Although I don't always wear it. Here I tell you a little bit about it.

I understand that the concept of gothic refers to gothic art, an artistic period that emerged in Europe in the late Middle Ages, named pejoratively to designate this type of art as coarse, terrible and unenlightened. Barbaric. Perhaps also because after this style came the Renaissance, a return to the classical and a period filled with some of the most famous and versatile artists in history. The difference is notable but unjustified.

Hola a todos. Espero se encuentren muy bien. El día de hoy les traigo este un video time lapse dónde les muestro el proceso de maquillaje. He elegido un estilo gótico, ya que siempre me ha gustado y me caracteriza. Aunque no siempre lo lleve puesto. Aquí les comento un poco al respecto.

Entiendo que el concepto de gótico hace referencia al arte gótico, período artístico surgido en Europa a finales de la edad media, nombrado de forma peyorativo para designar a este tipo de arte como tosco, terrible y poco iluminado. Bárbaro. Quizá también porque después de este estilo surge el Renacimiento, una vuelta a lo clásico y un periodo lleno de algunos de los artistas más famosos y versátiles en la historia. La diferencia es notable pero injustificada.

I always liked the aesthetic that some girls had when they were made up with black eye shadows, lots of mascara, and red lips. The all black clothes, with lace and lots of ruffled fabric , usually long to cover extremities and accessories of a religious nature. That's why I have chosen this style, I find it simply beautiful and I know it's not for everyone. That's why I have chosen a song that talks about wanting to stop being the same as always. Every time I do my make-up I feel like I'm someone else, that I'm playing a character or doing a performance, so I feel free and confident.

Del gótico podemos rescatar una hermosa arquitectura, literatura y pinturas (miniaturas). Sin embargo, se le ha añadido a lo gótico otro tipo de enfoque moderno dónde se hace referencia a lo oscuro y a la belleza del horror. Digamos que es una moda.

Siempre me gustó la estética que tenían algunas chicas cuando se maquillaban con sombras de ojos negros, mucha máscara, y labios rojos. La ropa completamente negra, con encaje y mucha tela con volados , usualmente larga para cubrir extremidades y accesorios de índole religioso. Por eso he elegido este estilo, me parece simplemente hermoso y sé que no es para todo el mundo. Por eso mismo he elegido una canción que habla sobre querer dejar de ser el mismo de siempre. Cada que yo me maquillo siento de esta forma que soy otra persona, que estoy interpretando un personaje o realizando un performance, por lo cual me siento libre y las segura.
