Domingo de montaña, río y celebración / Mountain Sunday, river and celebration

Por aquí con una nueva historia de aventura dominguera que nos llevó a las defensas, así le llaman las personas que transitan este camino de tierra que lleva a la Colonia Tovar por los caminos alternos a la carretera principal. Hemos venido por este sendero en varias oportunidades y se encuentra ubicado en la victoria, estado Aragua-Venezuela. Fué el destino elegido por el grupo para visitar el río y celebrar el cumpleaños de nuestra compañera Omaris.

Here with a new story of a Sunday adventure that took us to the defenses, that's what the people who travel this dirt road that leads to the Colonia Tovar by the alternative paths to the main road call it. We have been on this trail several times and it is located in La Victoria, Aragua State, Venezuela. It was the destination chosen by the group to visit the river and celebrate the birthday of our partner Omaris.

Es un sendero emocionante porque se atraviesan ríos, subidas y bajadas que ameritan concentración, pero la practica ha ido incrementando las destrezas. Los compañeros de ciclismo de la Victoria y de Guacara (Corozomtb) coincidieron este día para compartir esta actividad, cada grupo se alinea y va a su ritmo, cadencia y velocidad...por lo general voy en la retaguardia para tomar fotos, disfrutar de la naturaleza y atenta para que no se escapen los detalles.

It is an exciting trail because it crosses rivers, climbs and descents that require concentration, but the practice has been increasing the skills. The cycling partners from La Victoria and Guacara (Corozomtb) coincided this day to share this activity, each group is aligned and goes at their own pace, cadence and speed ... I usually go in the rear to take pictures, enjoy nature and attentive to not miss the details.

Siempre he comentado que no soy experta en MTB pero comprendo a los amantes de esta modalidad, la adrenalina eferveciendo en el organismo ante los desafíos de las rutas que están diseñadas para este fin es indescriptible. Disculpen que me salí un poco de la historia, este día conseguimos varios tramos con bastante barro, me gusta cuando los cauchos deslizan y me toca maniobrar para salir airosa, también cuando pasamos los ríos, por lo general después de atraversarlos viene una subida exigente.

I have always commented that I am not an expert in MTB but I understand the lovers of this modality, the adrenaline fizzing in the body before the challenges of the routes that are designed for this purpose is indescribable. Sorry I got a little out of the story, this day we got several sections with a lot of mud, I like when the tires slide and I have to maneuver to get out of it, also when we pass the rivers, usually after crossing them comes a demanding climb.

Continuamos por esta ruta que ofrece diferentes matices, la abundante vegetación protege de los rayos del sol y disminuya la temperatura, avanzamos ascendiendo por la montaña sorteando los obstáculos hasta que llegamos al destino...bajamos al río para sentir el agua helada que espanta el calor y activa la circulación. Estuvimos compartiendo y contando historias metidos en el agua, la cumpleañera estaba feliz porque alcanzó la meta y al regreso nos esperaba parrillada en una casa con piscina.

We continued along this route that offers different nuances, the abundant vegetation protects from the sun's rays and lowers the temperature, we advanced ascending the mountain dodging obstacles until we reached the destination...we went down to the river to feel the icy water that scares away the heat and activates the circulation. We were sharing and telling stories in the water, the birthday girl was happy because she reached the goal and on the way back we were waiting for a barbecue in a house with a swimming pool.

Wilmer (compañero de la Victoria), se encargó de comprar la bebida y la comida, en oportunidades anteriores ha hecho lo mismo y se ha lucido con la calidad y atención, le agradecemos su don de anfitrión y organizador de eventos. Salimos del río porque el hambre se incrementó, emprendimos el retorno en una carrera loca; el barro, las piedras, raíces de los arboles, ríos, zanjas ya no eran intimidantes, solo tuvimos que agarrar duro el volante y lanzarnos a sentir emociones intensas. Al rato llegamos a la casa para preparar la comida.

Wilmer (a companion of the Victoria), was in charge of buying the drinks and food, in previous opportunities he has done the same and has excelled with the quality and attention, we thank him for his gift as host and organizer of events. We left the river because the hunger increased, we started the return in a crazy race; the mud, rocks, tree roots, rivers, ditches were no longer intimidating, we just had to grab the steering wheel hard and throw ourselves to feel intense emotions. After a while we arrived at the house to prepare lunch.

Celebramos el cumpleaños de Omaris, otra aventura que sumó y multiplicó alegría a nuestras vidas, un día con emociones elevadas que nos llevaron a disfrutar de cada momento. Soy creyente de lo que dijo Charles Bukowki: "Estamos aquí para vivir nuestras vidas tan bien que la muerte tiemble cuando venga a buscarnos". En eso andamos...

We celebrated Omaris' birthday, another adventure that added and multiplied joy to our lives, a day with high emotions that led us to enjoy every moment. I am a believer of what Charles Bukowki said: "We are here to live our lives so well that death will tremble when it comes looking for us". That's where we are...
