El triunfo de Yvonne / Yvonne's triumph

Esta historia que están a punto de leer, es una historia de alguien que nunca imaginó lo que deparaba el destino cuando el 06/02/2023, llegó a sus manos un diagnostico medico que cambiaría su vida drasticamente (Carcinoma ductal in situ en mama derecha), pero ella ante la incertidumbre (atemorizante) dió pasos hacia adelante asumiendo el proceso del protocolo para este tipo de situaciones. Pero antes de continuar, es importante que conozcan un poco de ella.

Yvonne, un pilar fundamental en nuestro equipo de @aventurerasbike y biciaventuras, ahora entenderán (nuestros lectores) el porque no apareció en nuestros vídeos y fotos en las historias del 2023. Antes de que se viera afectada su salud, ella aparte del ciclismo también practicaba patinaje, tiene talento musical (toca varios instrumentos) y se destaca en el baile, realmente es bastante activa. This story that you are about to read, is a story of someone who never imagined what destiny had in store for her when on 02/06/2023, she received a medical diagnosis that would change her life drastically (ductal carcinoma in situ in the right breast), but in the face of the uncertainty (frightening) she took steps forward assuming the process of the protocol for this type of situation. But before continuing, it is important that you know a little about her.

Yvonne, a fundamental pillar in our @aventurerasbike and biciaventuras team, now you will understand (our readers) why she did not appear in our videos and photos in the 2023 stories. Before her health was affected, apart from cycling she also practiced skating, has musical talent (she plays several instruments) and excels in dance, she is really quite active (see video).

Pasaron los meses y fuimos testigos de como ella asumió este proceso de sanación, creo que su actitud fue determinante para culminar el tratamiento requerido, aparte de cirugía y quimioterapia también radioterapia...el día de su ultima radioterapia se colocó su traje de ciclista y salimos desde su casa acompañándola, al llegar al centro de salud entro por la puerta grande con su bicicleta para tocar la campana que indica que el tratamiento llegó a su fin. Fué muy emotivo, ella dijo unas palabras que tocaron corazones, luego un brindis con pasapalos para terminar con un música de jazz que animó aún mas la celebración. Hace una semana volvió al ciclismo, entrenando poco a poco para retomar su condición física.

Palabras de Yvonne: " Veo la vida desde una nueva perspectiva llena de un sin fin de oportunidades y deseo aprovecharla al máximo. Me siento privilegiada por este despertar, cada día es un regalo y estar sanos es invaluable".

Months passed and we witnessed how she assumed this healing process, I think her attitude was decisive to complete the required treatment, apart from surgery and chemotherapy also radiotherapy...the day of her last radiotherapy she put on her cycling suit and we left from her house accompanying her, when we arrived at the health center she entered through the big door with her bicycle to ring the bell indicating that the treatment came to an end. It was very emotional, she said a few words that touched hearts, then a toast with snacks to finish with a jazz music that further enlivened the celebration. A week ago she returned to cycling, training little by little to regain her physical condition.

Yvonne's words: "I see life from a new perspective full of endless opportunities and I want to make the most of it. I feel privileged for this awakening, every day is a gift and being healthy is invaluable".

I publish this post today 19/01/2024, the day of her birthday to pay tribute to our dear companion, who has left in us a great learning, the best demonstration of courage and bravery, to show with facts that the attitude is decisive in the face of adversity, the importance of friendship and companionship, patience, perseverance, inner strength to assume with strength what life presents. ...Today we raise our glasses to you dear adventurer, we toast to your birthday, your life and ours to continue traveling new roads... new horizons await us!
