Arepas, a lo Zuni [Esp/Eng Subtitled] 💚💚💚

      Participamos en grupos, con amigos venezolanos y también, por el advenimiento de dichos ciudadanos al país, comenzamos a ver y a charlar, sobre las arepas, que son un típico plato de los venezolanos. Me gusta, incursionar y conocer, en las artes culinarias de diferentes países e ir probando sabores, obviamente, con el toque personal de cada uno. Siendo paraguaya, aprendí mucho de la comida argentina y ahora, con mis niños, comenzamos con las arepas venezolanas.

We participated in a group with Venezuelan friends and also, due to the arrival of these citizens to the country, we began to see and talk about arepas, which are a typical Venezuelan dish. I like to dabble and learn about the culinary arts of different countries and try flavors, obviously, with the personal touch of each one. Being Paraguayan, I learned a lot about Argentinean food and now, with my children, we are starting with Venezuelan arepas.

      Despeinados y muy de entre casa, comenzamos con los niños a realizar el proyecto de arepas, mientras su padre, esperaba ansioso por degustar. Reacios a que lo filmen, pero a mamá, nunca le dicen que no😁.

Unkempt and very much at home, we started with the children to make the arepas project, while their father waited anxiously to taste. Reluctant to be filmed, but mom, they never say no to them.

      Compartir, estos momentos con ellos, para mí tiene un valor increíble y salga, como salga el plato, lo importante es que aprendimos algo nuevo y compartimos en familia. Existen, infinidades de formas para realizar las arepas, y es por eso, que les dije, esta, son las arepas de Zu; Ellos, simplemente se miraron y sonrieron irónicamente "Ya me conocen" 😁

Sharing these moments with them has an incredible value for me, and no matter how the dish turns out, the important thing is that we learned something new and we shared as a family. There are infinite ways to make arepas, and that is why I told them, this is Zu's arepas; they simply looked at each other and smiled ironically "You know me".

      La verdad, salieron riquísimas, porque no sobraron nada 😄. No recibí un aplauso, pero, sentí que lo disfrutaron al máximo. Y como siempre se dice, la práctica, hace al amo, motivo por el cual, seguiremos practicando e incorporando salsas nuevas, al igual que los rellenos.

• La idea, no fue realizar una receta y es por eso que elegí, esta comunidad para compartirlo. Ya que es la historia de una paraguaya, madre y esposa, de argentinos, cocinando comida venezolana ¡Gran ensalada! 😁

The truth is, they turned out delicious, because there were no leftovers. I didn't get a round of applause, but I felt they enjoyed it to the fullest. And as they always say, practice makes perfect, which is why we will continue to practice and incorporate new sauces and fillings.
