In honor of today’s edition of Hive Learner’s Creative Sunday, I will be taking us through how to prepare the special delicacy that is Yam and Egg Sauce. This a staple in most Nigerian homes and is very easy to make. It also doesn’t require a lot of ingredients or expertise to make, which makes it all the more appealing.

The video covers the entirety of how to prepare it so I will just list out the ingredients needed and the steps to make it.

Prep your ingredients: Peel and cut the yam into small pieces, Wash and dice your tomatoes, onions and pepper, Break your eggs and season with a pinch of salt.
Place the pieces of yam into a pot and boil for 5 minutes, then stick a fork or knife into a piece. If it’s soft or divides, then you can bring down the yam and sieve off the water.
Pour some groundnut oil into a pan, let it get hot then add your onions and pepper. Stir for 2 minutes.
Then add in your tomatoes and stir a little bit then leave to cook down for at least 6 minutes, till the liquid portion has significantly reduced.
Then sprinkle in your seasoning cubes and a pinch of salt.
Stir till it fully mixes together.
Then add in your whisked eggs and stir till the egg fully cooks.
Taste it!
And there you have it booboo – A delicious portion of Yam and Egg sauce!!!🤗🤗
