Algo Contigo - Chico Novarro (Cover) by @yisusth [ENG/SPA]

Greetings to the entire community of musicians and all those music fans. I am pleased to share with you my interpretation of a beautiful bolero titled “Algo Contigo” by Maestro Chico Novarro. The melody is soft and melancholic, with a slight touch of nostalgia. It is characterized by short and repetitive phrases. The harmony is based on the basic triad of each chord, with some embellishments and variations. The modulation to the key of G major in the chorus creates an interesting contrast and provides a touch of luminosity. The rhythm is slow and lilting, typical of the bolero, with a 4/4 time signature. The lyrics are beautifully poetic and speak of the internal struggle of a man who is in love with a woman who does not love him in the same way. He feels a strong attraction towards her, but knows that she is not available to him. This causes great frustration and sadness. My favorite version is Rosario's, it's faster and has a more danceable rhythm. I always play with sheet music, but in this case I did it using my musical ear and adding my own personal touch.

Saludos a toda la comunidad de músicos y a todos aquellos aficionados a la música. Tengo el agrado de compartirles mi interpretación de un hermoso bolero titulado «Algo Contigo» del Maestro Chico Novarro. La melodía es suave y melancólica, con un ligero toque de nostalgia. Se caracteriza por frases cortas y repetitivas. La armonía se basa en la tríada básica de cada acorde, con algunos adornos y variaciones. La modulación a la tonalidad de Sol mayor en el estribillo crea un contraste interesante y aporta un toque de luminosidad. El ritmo es lento y cadencioso, propio del bolero, con un compás de 4/4. La letra es hermosamente poética y habla de la lucha interna de un hombre que está enamorado de una mujer que no lo ama de la misma manera. Él siente una fuerte atracción hacia ella, pero sabe que ella no está disponible para él. Esto le provoca una gran frustración y tristeza. Mi versión favorita es la de Rosario, es más rápida y tiene un ritmo más bailable. Siempre toco con partitura, pero en este caso lo hice usando mi oído musical e imprimiendo mi propio toque personal.
