Once again I am happy to share my participation in the Hive Open Mic Week #165. I congratulate my friend and recent Featured Artist from our community @wizj for choosing this theme: “In Love with Nature and Mother Earth”. Since I was a child I have felt love for the material world and for our beautiful planet earth, home to millions of animal and plant species, as well as human beings. Love is born from our relationship with our environment. Only those who have had the opportunity to plant a tree, to take care of some living being, will understand what it means. I believe that it is important to strengthen that relationship and nurture that love for our only spaceship. The earth is a living entity that suffers, and suffers. Every time it becomes necessary to sit down and listen to their prayers and lamentations. If we don't make an effort to be empathetic, then the time will come when we won't have a place to live.

Una vez más me siento feliz de compartir mi participación en el Hive Open Mic Semana #165. Felicito a mi amigo y artista Destacado reciente de nuestra comunidad @wizj por escoger esta temática: “Enamorados de la Naturaleza y la Madre Tierra”. Desde niño he sentido amor por el mundo material y por nuestro hermoso planeta tierra, el hogar de millones de especies animales y vegetales, como también de los seres humanos. El amor nace de nuestra relación con nuestro medio ambiente. Solo aquellos que han tenido la oportunidad de sembrar un árbol, de cuidar de algún ser vivo, entenderán lo que significa. Yo considero que es importante fortalecer esa relación y nutrir ese amor por nuestra única nave espacial. La tierra es una entidad viva que sufre, y padece. Cada vez se hace necesario sentarse a escuchar sus ruegos y lamentos. Si no nos esforzamos por ser empáticos, entonces llegará el momento en donde no tendremos un lugar para vivir.

Today I'm going to play "Earth Song" on my trumpet, a ballad composed by Michael Jackson. The King of Pop has always stood out for releasing songs with social responsibility such as "We Are the World", "Man in the Mirror" and "Heal the World". The video for the song has a clear message about the fate of the earth, and the importance of doing something to stop the devastation. It is in our hands to reset that process. The harmony is based on the descending G# Dorian scale, which creates incredible tension and a sense of urgency. Playing it with the trumpet is an incredible experience, because it feels like the intensity and volume gradually rise, and there is even a very attractive change in key that I really enjoy. I hope you enjoy my performance and if you wish you can also listen to the original theme.

Hoy voy a interpretar con mi trompeta «Earth Song», una balada compuesta por Michael Jackson. El Rey del pop siempre se destacó por lanzar temas con responsabilidad social como por ejemplo "We Are the World", "Man in the Mirror" y "Heal the World". El video de la canción tiene un mensaje claro sobre el destino de la tierra, y de la importancia de hacer algo para detener la devastación. Está en nuestras manos resetear ese proceso. La armonía está basada en la escala de G# Dorian descendente, lo cual crea una tensión increíble y una sensación de urgencia. Tocarla con la trompeta es una experiencia increíble, porque se siente como gradualmente va subiendo la intensidad y el volumen, e incluso hay un cambio de tonalidad sumamente atractivo y que disfruto mucho. Espero disfruten mi performance y si lo desean también pueden escuchar el tema original.
