Hey amigos mochileros, viajeros y excursionistas, como estás?, esta es la continuación de un antiguo post que subí, esta es la vía y la llegada a un pequeño pueblo del eje cafetero Colombiano llamado Palestina, el pueblito es muy pequeño, la verdad no hay mucho que explorar pero es muy visitado por la ruta, ya que muchos motociclistas suben hasta aquí para experimentar las curvas, además que es un poco mas frio que Chinchiná y la gente sube a distraerse un poco.
Nuestra salida fue desde el malecón Cameguadua, desde aquí son 5km aproximadamente y por la dificultad de la subida son 10-15min, en el camino se encuentran ciclistas y grupos de motociclistas que van hacia el mismo destino, la vía en algunas partes esta en reparación por lo cual es importante ir con cuidado.

En el video hay un conversación con mi hermano saliendo del malecón, ya que estábamos probando una base para cámara y una cámara de video de baja calidad, para grabar las rutas, decidí regalarle la base a mi hermano ya que le gusto mucho para grabar en sus viajes, el resultado de la grabación es muy bueno. Se ve todo nítido y además un ángulo espectacular de la carretera.

Hey friends backpackers, travelers and hikers, how are you, this is the continuation of an old post I uploaded, this is the road and the arrival to a small town in the Colombian coffee axis called Palestina, the town is very small, the truth is not much to explore but it is very visited by the route, as many motorcyclists come up here to experience the curves, plus it's a little colder than Chinchiná and people go up to get distracted a little.
Our departure was from the malecon Cameguadua, from here it is approximately 5km and the difficulty of the climb is 10-15min, on the way there are cyclists and groups of motorcyclists who go to the same destination, the road in some parts is under repair so it is important to go carefully.

In the video there is a conversation with my brother leaving the boardwalk, as we were testing a camera base and a low quality video camera to record the routes, I decided to give the base to my brother as he liked it very much to record on his travels, the result of the recording is very good. You can see everything clear and also a spectacular angle of the road.

Al llegar al pueblo comenzamos a ver subidas extremas, ya que el pueblo esta literalmente en la cima de la montaña, las carreteras tienen desniveles, hay casa antiguas construidas con guaduas, familia del bambú. Casas un poco mas modernas y otras muy coloridas, en estos pueblos es común ver los Jeep Willy, sinceramente es el auto mas común aquí y es utilizado por los cafetaleros, además que es el medio de transporte de las personas hacia acá, no hay buses que lleven pasajeros hasta Chinchiná, el medio son los Jeeps.
Las calles también son muy bonitas y el atractivo principal es la plaza del pueblo, allí se encuentra la iglesia, estación policial y alcaldía.

La vía es de 1 o 2 sentidos, pero no es muy amplia, además no hay como perderse al llegar aquí, por que todas las rutas llevan hacia la entrada principal.

Arriving at the village we began to see extreme climbs, as the town is literally on top of the mountain, the roads have slopes, there are old houses built with bamboo family. Houses a little more modern and others very colorful, in these villages it is common to see the Jeep Willy, sincerely is the most common car here and is used by coffee growers, it is also the means of transportation of people here, there are no buses to take passengers to Chinchiná, the means are the Jeeps.
The streets are also very nice and the main attraction is the town square, where the church, police station and mayor's office are located.

The road is one-way or two-way, but it is not very wide, and there is no way to get lost when you get here, because all roads lead to the main entrance.

Hay un árbol gigante en la plaza que tiene mucho tiempo allí, se ve muy bien por esta parte.
En la plaza hay comercios de todo tipo, ventas de artesanía, panaderías, restaurantes, heladerías y muchas mas cosas, aquí se acercan todas las personas, incluso estacionar la moto es difícil por tanto turista, tuvimos que hacer un espacio para poder parar.
Un dato curioso es que hay wifi gratis en esta plaza, cosa que no es muy común en muchos sitios, aunque estamos cerca de la estación de policías, dejamos las motos pero igual estábamos al pendiente de ellas.
Compramos unos helados naturales para poder explorar un poco del pueblo antes que se hiciera de noche.

There is a giant tree in the square that has been there for a long time, it looks very nice in this part.
In the square there are stores of all kinds, craft sales, bakeries, restaurants, ice cream parlors and many more things, all people come here, even parking the bike is difficult because of so many tourists, we had to make a space to stop.
A curious fact is that there is free wifi in this square, which is not very common in many places, although we are close to the police station, we left the bikes but we were still aware of them.
We bought some natural ice cream to be able to explore a little of the town before it got dark.

El atractivo principal es la iglesia, es el edificio mas alto y que sobresale en este lugar aunque es pequeña en comparación a otras que visité es realmente alta, no había mucha asistencia de personas, y tiene un bonito color y acabado por dentro, las ventanas y la forma de la iglesia como tal.
Por su puesto hay figuras religiosas en todo el lugar, como Jesús en la tumba, imágenes en mosaico en las ventanas.
No hay campanario a la vista, no estoy seguro si estaba oculto pero me parece que los amplificadores dentro hacen la semejanza del sonido de campanas.

The main attraction is the church, it is the tallest building that stands out in this place although it is small compared to others I visited it is really tall, there was not much attendance of people, and it has a nice color and finish inside, the windows and the shape of the church as such.
Of course there are religious figures all over the place, like Jesus in the tomb, mosaic images on the windows.
There is no bell tower in sight, I am not sure if it was hidden but it seems to me that the amplifiers inside make the sound of bells.

Fue momento de explorar el pueblito y caminamos unas cuadras detrás de la iglesia, hay casas muy bonitas y llamativas, hay otras no tanto pero es super común aquí, por un momento bajamos escalones y estábamos unos cuantos metros mas abajo que de nuestro punto inicial, pudimos ver el estadio de futbol y un compelo techado de básquet, también se veía a lo lejos una cancha de tenis y otra de voleibol. Como dije las vías aquí son muy inclinadas y la subida de regreso fue la mas horrible, por ello no nos fuimos tan lejos.
Aunque el clima estaba fresco se ve que a medio día el sol debe ser inclemente, por que están cerca de Chinchiná y es un lugar donde hace mucho calor.

It was time to explore the village and we walked a few blocks behind the church, there are very nice and striking houses, there are others not so much but it is super common here, for a moment we went down steps and we were a few meters below our initial point, we could see the soccer stadium and a covered basketball court, we could also see in the distance a tennis court and a volleyball court. As I said the tracks here are very steep and the return climb was the most horrible, so we didn't go that far.
Although the weather was cool, it is clear that at midday the sun must be inclement, because they are near Chinchiná and it is a place where it is very hot.

Nuevamente en la plaza tomamos las ultimas fotografías por que debíamos irnos, allí me di cuenta que en un cartel como lo he visto en todas las ciudades al llegar a la plaza Bolívar, se encuentran las rutas del eje cafetero y los atractivos del lugar, aquí se podía ver que no habían muchos.
Así que nos fuimos de regreso a casa y aquí termino nuestra aventura.

Again in the square we took the last pictures because we had to leave, there I realized that in a poster as I have seen in all the cities when arriving at the Bolivar square, there are the routes of the coffee axis and the attractions of the place, here you could see that there were not many.
So we went back home and here ends our adventure.
