Should we give tithes or offerings? (Part 1 of 2)

There's no contradiction in the Bible as Prov. 8:8 states that all the words of God are in righteousness without perverse. Also, Ps. 12:6 says the words of the Lord is as pure as silver that is purified up to seven times.

Mal. 3:7-10 speaks of tithes and offerings which were the commandments given to the Israelites. And Mal. 4:4 is talking of the law of Moses which was a commandment to all Israelites. Malachi is talking about the laws that God gave to Israelites.

But 2Cor. 9:7 is talking to Christians. Certain foods are prohibited for Israelites but, for Christians, 1Tim. 4:4 makes us to know that every creature of God is good. There's nothing to refuse if received with thanksgiving.

Further, Jesus says in Mk. 7:19 that what we eat does not make us unclean because it does not enter into the heart but into the belly from where it is passed out.

There are laws that have ceased to be in operation for Christians in the New Testament.
