Is a man's fate under the control of God, or should one make his own destiny? (Part 1 of 2)

From the beginning, the first man and woman were given a commandment. In Genesis 2:17, God asked them not to eat the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, because they will die if they eat it. But they were free to eat every other fruit in the garden.

This implies they had the freewill to take decisions. It was up to them to choose to eat the fruits of other trees and live, or eat that of the good and evil, and face the consequences.

The warning from God shows his care and loving kindness for us. He doesn't want us to go into perdition, but if we choose any action against his will, it's up to us.
