*Hello everyone, and welcome back!:) this time, it is time to learn a new guitar technique :) *
Here I am with another Guitar Tutorial (with tabs) here with a Paul Gilbert Style String Skipping lick! I learned this quite a few years back and it was really beneficial for building up strength in my stretching. This one stretches over quite a few frets here so take your time and do NOT play through pain (trust me...)
I would categorise this as an intermediate technique as some speed and strength is required to run through this entire lick. However, if you are a beginner just work on that first section to improve your stretching , legato, and speed - start slowly! It takes time and I do not want anyone getting injured like I have in the past :)
I learned this lick from a Total Guitar magazine (I think?) many years ago, and it has always stuck with me. This is in G minor, however, it can be in any key you want :) just shift the root note and keep the same position!
Let me know how you get on with this one! More lessons coming real soon - thanks for watching everyone!
Above are the time stamps if you want to skip through :) if not, what would you like me to teach next? I have some blues licks planned and mabe some more shred style videos, or a song? I am wondering if people would prefer to see lessons or guitar solos (I will do both!)
I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. Time to get creative everyone, enjoy the process! Let's all grow together!:)
**Peace and love! **
