It comes from within! Is what I just said to myself after having an enjoyable jam :) but I guess it does, right? The want and need to play, the enjoyment, satisfaction and joy from picking up the guitar. I love it, that's all there is to it :) I really want to develop and level up my playing all round (acoustic style, theory, speed, writing) that is the beautiful thing about music, it is never done - or, there is always something else to do :)
This Jam is in Cminor, and is played over a classic rock ballad style. Slow beat, long held power chords, and plenty of room for BIG guitar solos!:) as some of you might now by now, my solos are pretty much 100% improvised. I might run through the backing track a few times and do a few takes, but I like just seeing what comes out and not forcing anything. I do love written solos too! I have some of them on my album of course :)
I am playing this on my Epiphone Les Paul Custom (2000, Korea) and I sure do love the sound and feel. I am running this through Ableton Live Lite (free version) and make an amp setting I like on there using a pre-made amp. I do want to start getting a nicer guitar tone, but a lot of it comes from the playing anyway I guess!
I do have a few shorter videos I want to upload, such as a harmony guitar solo! But, I think that hive music community generally prefer videos over 1min? Am I right? I might share it anyway in my next post as I think you will all love it :) cheers!
PS - my last video I was celebrating saying that I reached level 70 on hive (which I did) but now I have gone back down to 69 haha. So, maybe tomorrow!:) must be close at this stage! Cool!

Peace and love!
