Hola amigos de Hive, recientemente he venido publicando varios covers de Korn puesto que me encuentro aprendiéndome sus temas para tocar en una banda tributo. Hemos establecido 4 temas para el primer ensayo, he tenido la oportunidad de compartir con ustedes Got the Life y Blind, en esta ocasión les traigo el cover de guitarra de Clow, ya solo faltaría aprenderme A.D.I.D.A.S para llevar a cabo el primer ensayo que está estipulado para el 6 de agosto.

Clown es una canción lanzada en 1994 en el álbum homónimo, y según Wikipedia su letra está inspirada en una anécdota con un espectador, quien en una presentación de la banda, los abucheó y les dijo que volvieran a su ciudad natal, Davis, el vocalista se agachó para escuchar mejor lo que este decía, y el sujeto intentó golpearlo en la cara, porque la seguridad del evento actuó sobre este individuo, según Davis el hombre estaba todo tatuado y parecía un payaso. Por ello el tema lleva por nombre “Clown” (payaso).

El video musical fue lanzado en 1996, y muestra una de las situaciones clásicas de bullying en Estados Unidos, en donde hay chicos considerados cool, como los jugadores de futbol americano, y los freaks quienes no son populares y sufren bullying de parte de los chicos y las chicas cool, como las porristas. Esto es algo que el cine se ha encargado de mostrarnos, pero no ha de estar muy lejos de la realidad, por alguna razón en Estados Unidos estas situaciones de bullying a veces terminan en tragedias escolares. Creo que en su momento el video pretendía que muchos de estos chicos se sintieran identificados y darles fortaleza para seguir adelante.

Con respecto a la ejecución del cover, como de costumbre la guitarra va a afinada en LA Standard, he ejecutado la guitarra del guitarrista Munky. Ya que Korn toca con afinaciones tan bajas, recomiendo utilizar la PC de escritorio o audífonos para oír este tema, ya que los teléfonos móviles por lo general no poseen un parlante que reproduzca de manera optimo sonidos tan graves.

Regarding the execution of the cover, as usual the guitar is tuned in LA Standard, I have executed the guitar of the guitarist Munky. Since Korn plays with such low tunings, I recommend using a desktop PC or headphones to hear this song, since cell phones usually do not have a speaker that reproduces such low sounds optimally.
