This song was actually kicked off by my recent attempts to play drums. I found a list of songs for beginners and this was at the top. Meg White of the White Stripes is not known as a very technical drummer, but simple can be effective. I went through the lesson and more or less memorised the parts. Apart from one little triplet it is all straight quarter notes.
For the guitar part I believe Jack used a pitch shifter to get the low notes and my Zoom G3X has a version of that. The quality is a little lacking, but this is just for fun. He also plays slide, but I opted to not do that. I was using my Benford custom Telecaster.
The singing is not great, but it is not an easy one to sing and play.
I am still learning about video editing. I used Kdenlive and eventually found a way to show multiple video feeds. I do have issues with audio sync on my recordings, but I managed to get the two lots of audio lined up. You will just see me hitting the drums at different times to when the sounds come out. I need to look into fixing that.
Please check out @sketch.and.jam and @tfranzini who have also been doing #TeleTuesday. Also @sunsethunter has done some [cool soloing[(https://peakd.com/hive-193816/@sunsethunter/my-phrygian-style-solo) (not on a Tele) based on a lesson from @jeffandhisguitar. I hope to see the Hive #guitar community keep growing.
Rock on!
