Greetings wonderful people of this prestigious community, I hope we all are doing good...
It's Hive Open Mic week #169, we will explore the theme: "War." Which was chosen by our community's recent Spotlight Artist: @jasperdick.
Of course I know the word "war" is not a new word for anyone here, we should have heard it one time or the other. War is the opposite of peace, I believe virtually everyone loves peace even the military people, if there's peace their won't be a need to fight or die for anything, obviously the absence of peace brings war.
I don't think there's anything good in a war or fighting a battle, because one will actually see the beginning but might not see the end, it depends.
War has made a lot of people homeless, scattered, frustrated, a widow etc...
It's something I don't pray to experience at all.
Few years back during my University days, my school had a peaceful protest when the price of our school fee just sky rocket few days to the exam. Unfortunately some nuisance used that opportunity to vandalize and steal some of the school properties, this made the school to call on the Army for help, Hmm it was not a good story at all, that day I saw a mini type of war.
Although they were not shooting at us but the pressure they gave us was just too much. Everyone needs to run for his or her life, some people got injured in the process, but thank God I didn't sustain any injury.
I just imagine what the Army usually face while at war hmm, those people are seriously trying, and needs to be celebrated.
I'll be performing a song titled my help by "Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir." I hope you enjoy my little musical piece, Thanks. 🥰
SONG LYRICS
[Verse]
I will lift up mine eyes to the hills
From whence cometh my help
My help cometh from the Lord
The Lord which made Heaven and Earth
He said He would not suffer thy foot
Thy foot to be moved
The Lord which keepeth thee
He will not slumber nor sleep
[Pre-Chorus]
Oh the Lord is thy keeper
The Lord is thy shade
Upon thy right hand
Upon thy right hand
No, the sun shall not smite thee by day
Nor the moon by night
He shall preserve thy soul
Even forever more
