It's week #173 on hiveopenmic. I am @rukkie and It's an honor for me to be chosen as the spotlight artist for this week. Thank you @hiveopenmic for giving me the privilege to give out a theme other musicians can sing to and I am wowed by the beautiful entries so far.

The theme I chose for this week is "Memories" and I will be presenting a song by Céline Dion titled "My Heart will go on".

Before the day, I was told to choose the theme for this week, I stumbled across a picture of my aunt and me and it brought back a lot of memories of our time together before the cold hands of death took her away from me.

My aunt was someone I was very close to. She made sure I was very free around her so that I could tell her all my secrets. She was my "gist" partner, She always gave me a listening ear whenever I needed it and She gave me a shoulder to cry on when I was heartbroken.

My mum sometimes complains about how much you spoil me, you would laugh and tell her to stop being jealous. Thank you for all the times you listened whenever I needed someone to unburden my heart to. You were not just my aunt, you were my friend and also my mom. Even though you are gone, I will forever cherish the time we spent together and I will go on and carry our memories close to my heart.

Es la semana #173 en hiveopenmic. Soy @rukkie y es un honor para mi ser elegido como el artista spotlight de esta semana. Gracias @hiveopenmic por darme el privilegio de dar a conocer un tema que otros músicos pueden cantar y estoy impresionado por las hermosas entradas hasta ahora.

El tema que he elegido para esta semana es "Memories" y presentaré una canción de Céline Dion titulada "My Heart will go on".

Antes del día en que me dijeron que eligiera el tema de esta semana, me topé con una foto de mi tía y yo y me trajo muchos recuerdos de nuestro tiempo juntos antes de que las frías manos de la muerte me la arrebataran.

Mi tía era una persona muy cercana a mí. Se aseguraba de que fuera muy libre a su lado para que pudiera contarle todos mis secretos. Siempre me escuchó cuando lo necesité y me dio un hombro en el que llorar cuando tenía el corazón roto.

Mi madre a veces se queja de lo mucho que me mimas, tú te reías y le decías que dejara de estar celosa. Gracias por todas las veces que me escuchaste cuando necesitaba a alguien con quien desahogar mi corazón. No eras sólo mi tía, eras mi amiga y también mi madre. Aunque te hayas ido, siempre apreciaré el tiempo que pasamos juntas y seguiré llevando nuestros recuerdos cerca de mi corazón.
