It's week #186 on Hiveopenmic. I am @rukkie, and this week's theme "Cinema" was chosen by @mairene1, our spotlight artist.

So, in line with the theme, I will be presenting a song by Beyoncé from the movie Dreamgirls (2006)" and the song is titled "Listen"

I chose this song because it is inspirational as well as motivating. It talks about standing up for oneself, finding your own voice, and embracing your individuality. It also encourages us to always listen to our inner voice and break free from the expectations and pressures of society.

It is hard when we find ourselves in a dark realm, a place where our voice doesn't matter. A place where we just have to listen like we are some sort of a robot. A place where being human is forsaken, and our emotions go like dust.

The fact remains that as individuals we each possess a unique voice that deserves to be heard and even when we have people who tries to dim our light and make us feel small or we are not good enough, we should use our voice to make them listen.

And right there in my video, the start was a bit dark, and that wasn't a mistake. That's to show when there was darkness, and then, when the light popped up, it was to show the presence of a tiny hope. And hope they say can spark when it sees light, and this is where I want my voice to be heard.

Listen to my voice, which speaks volume from the bottom of my heart because "the time has come where our dreams can be heard" and with our voice, the world will LISTEN.
