    About :

    Greetings once again Citizens,

Today I’m feeling oddly surreal and strangely odd, both, at the same time. (This is normal, but I might not say it enough.) For my first trick, I will attempt to play the intro noises BACKWARDS! (Gasp in horror and unexplained thirst!!!) Next, I will speak meaninglessly on a minute plethora of ephemeral topics. (Be grateful that my blathering ends quickly. If goaded, I will EXPLODE in a filthy torrent of unabashed, nonsensical hyperbole and pseudo-poetic gibberish! Fair warning… Don’t get me started!)

After the introductory nonsense, it will be time for the music…and that time is NOW!!!

Punktronic Disco Dirge – Ep. 24!
    Approx. 1 hour and 13 minutes…

    ---Intro noise…

---Gary Numan – “I Dream of Wires” from Telekon (1980)
---Soft Metals – “In the Air” from CT5 Sampler: 5 Years of Captured Tracks (2013)
---Shpongle – “Divine Moments of Truth (Remix)” from Demented (2000)
---DJ Swamp – “Worship the Robots” from Never Is Now (2001)
---Bitch’n – “Sad Clowns” from PDX Pop Now! 2016 (2016)
---Love and Rockets – “Inside the Outside” from Seventh Dream of Teenage Heaven (2000) (album originally released in 1985)
---Senseless Things – “Everybody’s Gone” from The First of Too Many (1991)
---The Zoltars – “Homicide” from Experience Austin: A Tunecore Music Sampler (2011)
---A Band of Bees – “Who Cares What the Question Is?” from Octopus (2007)
---Arbeid Adelt! – “Capita Selecta” from Jonge Helden (1983)
---GBH – “Outro” from Punk Junkies (1997)
---Adam Ant – “Here Comes the Grump” from Friend or Foe (1982)
---World Standard – “Old Man Blues” from Country Gazette (1997)
---The Monkees – “Porpoise Song (Theme from ‘Head’)” from Greatest Hits (1995) (song originally released in 1968)
---King Khan & The Shrines – “Born to Die” from Merge Records Summer Sampler 2013 (2013)
---Billy Thorpe – “Children of the Sun” from Children of the Sun… Revisited (1988) (song originally released in 1979)

---The LIST is read by a strange person who goes on a SERIOUS ramble….

Hopefully, there was a track or two in this collection that you enjoyed! (I don’t expect every humanoid to enjoy every song. That would be INCONCEIVABLE…) Still, if you did find a spark of pleasure in any of these tracks, please consider purchasing those songs that are still available in physical or digital form, so that the original artist gets a tiny slice of the pie! (Unfortunately, streaming services pay artists for SHIT. This is one of the reasons that I refuse to use them…that and I’m a collector who would rather have a RECORD [especially a colored vinyl, gatefold edition with extra fold-out posters and a digital download code!] It’s a flaw that I’ve learned to live with…) Regardless, it’s good to support the folks who make the things you enjoy, not the companies that profit off of everything but don’t actually CREATE the cool shit you like…they just SELL it…) Thanks for listening to my sermon! Have a nice day!
