    I investigate the Homestead Motel and its lower levels. It's possible to restore the electricity in the building. This is the second episode of the Point Lookout DLC, with the Point Lookout Reborn mod.

    Note: Point Lookout Reborn and In The Shadow Of Swamp conflict in some aspects when editing the Homestead Motel. Luckily, DeadMano's The Wasteland Patch Collection addresses most issues, minus the Punga Script conflict, which I'll cover in a later episode.

    Timestamps for you:

    • 00:40 - Inspecting the bathroom. PL Reborn makes many changes to Homestead Motel.
    • 01:01 - Door to the Motel office. I walk to the hallway on the left, all the rooms are locked, and the power is off (Restoring The Power).
    • 01:39 - I enter Homestead Motel Office. I go downstairs. The Motel Lower Level door can be lockpicked.
    • 02:19 - A generator is on the right. I move forward, then to the right, and then left. The door on the right is locked, and the one on the left is open.
    • 02:55 - Looting the room, then reaching the other room through the hole in the wall. I ignored the Maintenance Terminal on the corner.
    • 03:50 - Another door to the corridors. I follow the path near the filling cabinets and find another generator. A door is nearby, and I walk around the area before opening it.
    • 04:52 - The local map. I go through the door and find another locked door on the left. Ammo boxes and crates on metal shelves. I returned to the Motel Office.
    • 06:13 - Through the hallway (rooms G to M). The other Motel Office door is near the Nuka Cola machine (lock: easy).
    • 06:27 - I turn left (rooms A to F) and find another Motel Office door (lock: Very Hard).
    • 06:38 - I turn left and reach the dining area. The Homestead Maintenance Key is near the cash register. Also, an ammo box and a double-barrel shotgun.
    • 07:12 - I turn right and see a safe under a table and a terminal. The Office Employee ID is above the computer. It's possible to unlock the door with it (if the power is back on).
    • 07:37 - Lockpicking the safe. Also, the Homestead Lower Level Key is on the table. I return to the previous Motel Office (lock: easy) and lockpick it.
    • 08:24 - A trunk containing a fission battery, empty bottles, and three Nuka Colas.
    • 08:47 - I go to the other Motel Office door (lock: very hard) and lockpick it. It's a storage area with many boxes, crates. The cabinets have more weapons and ammo (very hard).
    • 11:18 - Grenades and other things on the shelves to the right.
    • 12:02 - I return to the motel hallways and head to the first office. The one with the stairs to the lower level. Contrary to my expectations, none of the keys worked (I was missing something).
    • 13:16 - The local map while. I check the doors before returning upstairs.
    • 14:26 - The local map is on the ground level. I returned to the Lower Level and accessed the Maintenance Terminal (the one I missed).
    • 15:46 - Run Maintenance Routine does nothing at the moment.
    • 15:55 - "Know the Signs!" and "Protect Yourself!" entries.
    • 16:22 - I unlock the Maintenance Room Door. It's the second locked door I found (I check the map).
    • 16:55 - The opened path leads to another room with another Maintenance Terminal. I click on Motel Lighting Systems. The Primary Lighting Settings menu is then locked, so I click on the Secondary Lighting Settings. The Check Systems Status and Enable Secondary Lighting Systems only return an error.
    • 17:52 - I returned to the first menu, clicked on Motel Acess Systems, and then clicked on the Unlock Systems Door. The path near the desk is now open, and I go downstairs.
    • 18:12 - The door on the right won't open (no power). The switch on the wall opens the door on the left. I kill the Radroaches and enter the room with Homestead Motel Generator. I can repair it: Repair Skill = 65; Scrap Metal x3; Fission Battery x2; Tin Cans. The materials can be found in the motel or around Pilgrim's Landing.
    • 20:10 - I returned to the second Maintenance Terminal and activated the Secondary Lighting Systems. The "Restoring the Power" quest was finished.
    • 21:02 - I return to the first Maintenance Terminal. An Office Employee ID was on the desk. I take it and return to the ground level.
    • 22:42 - The M bedroom was also marked as Motel Office. I go to the Automated Maintenance terminal in the cafeteria/dining room and unlock all bedroom doors.
    • 23:43 - Bedroom A.
    • 24:08 - Bedroom B.
    • 24:41 - Bedroom C.
    • 24:59 - Bedroom D.
    • 25:34 - Bedroom E.
    • 25:50 - Bedroom F. One US Army: 30 Handy Flamethrower Recipes is on the desk.
    • 26:42 - Bedroom G required lockpicking. I access the Safehouse Terminal, and by reading the "Welcome to USA, Dr. Jiang" entry, the Velvet Curtain quest begins.
    • 27:42 - A Stealth Boy near the terminal.
    • 27:55 - Listening to the Contact Tape. It mentions a rental locker on the boardwalk.
    • 28:49 - The Luggage Case has the Locker Key.
    • 29:06 - I leave Bedroom G and enter Bedroom H. Ammo boxes are on the counter and in the open trunks.
    • 29:58 - Bedroom I has a locker and a footlocker under the bed.
    • 30:21 - Bedroom J has many repair parts on the counter and a workbench (with a bottlecap mine). Also, a copy of Dean's Electronics is on the desk near the bed.
    • 30:59 - Bedroom K has a locker and two footlockers.
    • 31:20 - Bedroom L has two moonshines near the bed. Multiple empty bottles of whiskey.
    • 31:55 - Bedroom M has a double-barrel shotgun on the bed. Also, a sawed-off shotgun in the bathroom.
    • 32:28 - Bedroom N is inaccessible. I leave the motel for now and head to the boardwalk.
    • 33:37 - The rental locker is to the east. I take the "Box 1207 - Spy's Audio Password" holotape.
    • 34:53 - Heading to People's Bank of Point Lookout. I play the holotape in the safe room, and it opens a safety deposit box to the right. Espionage Debriefing is retrieved.
    • 36:30 - Heading north to Turtledove Detention Camp. I reach the bridge, and the swampfolks of Point Lookout appears.
    • 38:21 - Looting the supplies on the bridge.
    • 39:39 - Discovering Marguerite Shack. I kill the swampfolks and enter the shack.
    • 41:07 - She is not sick (High Medicine skill option). Also, Speech Check success. She mentions a tonic but needs to repair some things and ingredients (A Spoonful of Whiskey begins).
    • 42:31 - Another Speech Check to lower the caps required (from 300 to 200). I repair the Moonshine Still.
    • 43:14 - I leave her home and head north to Turtledove Detention Camp.
