Fallout 3 Walkthrough (Modded) Part 251

With the situation at the Mantis Lab solved, radio transmissions from the Mantis Radio guide me to some "anomalies" across the Wasteland. This is the fourth episode of The Mantis Imperative.

From the mod page: "...If you have Mantis radio turned on, you'll occasionally get anomaly notifications from Mantis. These are smaller adventure areas that open up on a semi-random basis. When you're alerted of one, it updates a note in your journal with the transcript of the broadcast, so if you miss some voice work, that log will help you identify what's happening with the anomaly."

Note: ENB replaces Reshade, Cinematech, Dynavision, and other visual mods. All the episodes from now on were recorded on a more powerful computer.

• 00:35 - First radio transmission. The "Mantis - Orbital Platform Anomaly Warnings" note was added to the pip-boy. Anomaly One: Raiders were observed carrying a safe behind the Nuka Cola Facility.
• 01:28 - It's night. I fast travel to the Nuka Cola Plant.
• 01:58 - Random flying Albino Radscorpion.
• 02:17 - Searching for the raiders. It was just one near the overturned trailer. The safe was inside and contained some ammo, caps, a Stealth Boy, and a D.C Journal of Internal Medicine.
• 04:15 - The other truck had more tin cans, vanilla Nuka Cola, and a Quantum.
• 04:59 - I return to Megaton.
• 05:29 - It's morning, and the Mantis Radio (Dead Air) signal appears on the pip-boy. No anomaly yet.
• 06:34 - Second radio transmission. The "Mantis - Orbital Platform Anomaly Warnings" note is updated. Anomaly Two: Rodents Of Unusual Size (R.O.U.S.) near the Five Axle's Rest Stop.
• 08:03 - I fast-travel to the House Of The Professor (To Sleep - Perchance to Dream mod) as it is mostly safe. From there, I go east/southeast.
• 08:41 - Snping Talon Mercs under a broken highway.
• 09:39 - I find the R.O.U.S. I use the Tiger Malayan against them. I'm still collecting data for the weapon research system.
• 10:43 - Unusual size indeed.
• 10:52 - The body of Dread Pirate Roberts was near the rocks. He was wearing a unique Dashing Attire.
• 11:52 - Heading to Five Axle's Rest Stop to kill the raiders.
• 12:44 - Something's wrong with that skeleton. I looted the trailer and returned to Megaton.
• 13:32 - Third radio transmission. The "Mantis - Orbital Platform Anomaly Warnings" note is updated. Anomaly Three: A military vehicle is overwhelmed by unusual bloatflies near the Reclining Groves Resort Homes.
• 14:52 - Fast traveling to the location. I ran toward the road and found the bloatflies (Firefly type) attacking an Abominable Mutant.
• 16:47 - Two safes near the truck. One safe had plasma/pulse mines and grenades. The other had Electron Charge Packs, Energy Cells, and Microfusion Cells. No unique item was found there.
• 17:25 - Back to Megaton.
• 17:46 - Another day passes, and the fourth radio transmission happens. The "Mantis - Orbital Platform Anomaly Warnings" note is updated. Anomaly Four: Unknown bipedal crustaceans are entering the sewers near Anchorage Memorial.
• 19:05 - Fast traveling to Wilhelm's Wharf. From there, I walk to the Anchorage Memorial.
• 20:50 - Searching for the creatures.
• 23:25 - Wrong guess. The ones I'm looking for are not inside the Memorial.
• 26:16 - Back outside. The Sewer Maintenance Room entrance is near Dukov's Place.
• 26:50 - Killing the Venonlurks. Those creatures were quite common on the journey so far.
• 27:45 - A dead wastelander had the unique Swanky Shades (Barter +5, Luck +1).
• 27:56 - The "Mantis - A table saved my life" holotape is on the table.
• 30:07 - Taking a few items from the shelf. I then left the place.
