Afritunes Week 84 ~ Rich Till I Die || Cover song by Princessbusayo.

Hey, Afritunes community. How are you guys doing? I guess we are doing great. Here comes Princessbusayo with her wonderful entry for week 84 of covering any song we desire. So, for this edition, I did a cover song of RTID which means "Rich Till I Die" by Kiss Daniel.

What's the inspiration behind the song?

Okay, I came back from church on Sunday which was 3 days ago. We closed late and because of that, I was so tired when I got home and couldn't prepare a meal. I sat down on my blue chair when I was scrolling through my phone. I thought of listening to music to cool my mind and suddenly, my mind went straight to listening to hip-hop songs. Hehehe. Something about me is that I mostly feel like Sundays should be set apart as holy and so, whatever music I want to listen to should be based on Gospel. But I was interested in hip hop. So, I scrolled down and chose this particular song.

RTID is a song I came to love some months back when I was still in the village. My brother played the song and for the first time, I fell in love with it. Kiss Daniel has been a favourite artist to me because of his songs that comes with meaning. There was a song he sang called "Buga" which means to flaunt one's wealth or success. RTID became a step-up song of it and it is centred on wealth.

As I was listening to the song, I kept thinking of my future and seeing what money can do. When there is money, you will do a lot of things. I marvelled at my sister when she calculated how much we spent on our vacation which was over $200. Money is good. You will be able to do a lot when money is available. In my tribe, they would say: money says no one should decide in its absence, meaning when there is no money, you shouldn't make plans.

You see, in this life, I will be rich till I die. Did I hear you repeat that? Hehehe. No matter what, I will become wealthy. But this isn't by mouth only but with action. A lazy man shouldn't wish to have wealth unless he is ready to work the work. Wealth is important and we must strive hard to make wealth for our future. We must make plans for our lives financially. Think about money and do things in the best way to make money. This doesn't mean one should start chasing money to the extent of forgetting the most important thing. Have you read @dwayne16 post about time and money? You should read it as he talked about how important it is to focus on time management more than chasing money because we would always make money but time is irreplaceable.

So, my inspiration for singing that song came from the thought about the future and how I have decided to be rich no matter what it takes. I hope you love my performance.
