¡Hola a todos! Soy opyavi y hoy los invito a acompañarme a pescar pejerrey en el río de la Plata.

Temprano en la mañana, nos dirigimos hacia la guardería náutica Sarthou en San Fernando, Buenos Aires.

Al llegar a nuestra embarcación y encontrarnos con nuestro guía del día, partimos desde la guardería y disfrutamos de un hermoso amanecer y un paisaje excelente.

Quiero agradecer a Héctor @hosgug por hacer posible esta experiencia, ya que fue él quien me invitó después de que le mencioné mi gusto por la pesca. Hasta ahora, solo había pescado en el Caribe utilizando una caña de pescar convencional en mi país. Siempre me había llamado la atención la pesca con caña deportiva, pero no había tenido la oportunidad de probarlo. Así que fui invitado y después de un par de intentos cancelados debido a las condiciones climáticas, finalmente lo logramos.

La embarcación estaba equipada con diversos aparatos de navegación y profundidad, y además era sorprendentemente hermosa y potente. Nos llevó aproximadamente una hora de distancia desde donde partimos, bastante cerca de Uruguay y el puerto de Conchillas, a una profundidad de aproximadamente 3 metros.

Al llegar al primer punto, nos preparamos para comenzar a pescar, recibiendo instrucciones de seguridad para la jornada y armando las cañas de pescar.

Luego aprendí a lanzar la caña de pesca. Hice varios intentos, pero muchas veces necesité ayuda para lanzarla. Es más complicado de lo que parece.

Aquí pueden ver el primer pejerrey que pescamos, ¡es gigante! También les muestro dónde guardamos los peces y dónde tenemos las mojarras como carnada.

Al principio no logramos pescar ningún pejerrey, solo capturamos algunas otras especies o peces muy pequeños que devolvimos al agua. Así que nos trasladamos a otro punto a pocos minutos de distancia, ahora a una profundidad de casi 4 metros.

Hicimos otro intento y finalmente picó un pez. Luchamos un poco y logramos traer nuestro primer pejerrey. A los pocos minutos, ¡llegó el segundo!

Dado que la caña medía 4 metros, nuestro guía nos ayudó a subir los peces al bote.

Luego disfrutamos de un desayuno con panes de miga, empanadas y mis amigos argentinos me sirvieron un fernet. Todo estaba delicioso. También cambiamos de ubicación, ya que el cambio de clima afectó la cantidad de pesca.

En el siguiente punto, los peces comenzaron a picar con mayor frecuencia.

Ya al final de la tarde y con los últimos rayos de luz del día, nos preparamos para regresar a la guardería y disfrutar del atardecer en el camino.

Quiero mencionar que la temperatura mientras estábamos pescando en el agua era de aproximadamente 4 grados centígrados.

"Hello, everyone! I'm opyavi, and today I'm going to take you fishing for pejerrey in the Rio de la Plata.

Early in the morning, we're heading to the Sarthou nautical nursery in San Fernando, Buenos Aires.

Arriving at our boat and meeting our guide for the day, we set off from the nursery and enjoyed a beautiful sunrise and an excellent landscape.

I want to thank Hector for making this experience possible. He invited me after I mentioned my love for fishing. I had only fished in the Caribbean using a regular fishing reel in my country. I've always been curious about sports fishing with a fishing rod, but I hadn't had the opportunity to do it. So I was invited, and after a couple of attempts that were canceled due to weather conditions, we finally managed to do it.

The boat was equipped with various navigation and depth devices and was surprisingly beautiful and powerful. It took us about an hour away from our starting point, quite close to Uruguay and the Conchillas port, at a depth of approximately 3 meters.

Upon reaching the first spot, we began preparing to start fishing, receiving safety instructions for the day and setting up the fishing rods.

Then, I learned how to cast the fishing rod. I made several attempts, but I needed help to cast it many times. It's more complicated than it looks.

Here, we see the first giant pejerrey we caught!

Here, I'll show you where we'll keep the fish and where we have the bait minnows.

At first, we couldn't catch any pejerrey. We caught some other species or very small fish that we released. So, we changed our location just a few minutes away, now at a depth of almost 4 meters.

We made another attempt, and finally, we got a bite. We struggled a bit and brought in our first pejerrey. Then, a few minutes later, the second one came!

Since the rod was 4 meters long, our guide helped us bring the fish into the boat.

Afterward, we had breakfast with sandwiches and empanadas, and my Argentine friends served me a fernet. It was all very tasty. We also changed location because the fishing decreased due to the changing weather.

At the next spot, the bites increased in quantity.

Towards the end of the evening, with the last light of the day, we prepared to return to the nursery and enjoy the sunset along the way.

I should mention that the temperature while we were fishing in the water was approximately 4 degrees Celsius.
