El mundo de la Fórmula 1 se vio sacudido el pasado 25 de marzo de 2022 cuando ocurrió un ataque con un misil a una instalación petrolera, a solo 20 Km del circuito de Jeddah. Podría no parecer tan alarmante si se tratase de un hecho en una fecha cualquiera del año, pero ocurrió justo cuando se celebraban las pruebas libres 1 del Gran Premio de Arabia Saudita, con los autos rodando en pista.

Esto ocurrió el viernes, 2 días antes de celebrarse la carrera. Sin embargo, 2 horas después de dio paso a las pruebas libres número 2, y tras una larga reunión de pilotos y directivos, se anunció que la carrera seguía en pie.

Ya la carrera ha pasado, todo el mundo se ha ido dle circuito, y afortunadamente no pasó nada dentro de las instalaciones del circuito de Jeddah. Sin embargo, aún queda la duda y cuestionamiento moral: ¿Debió haberse cancelado el Gran Premio? ¿Debió correrse bajo estas circunstancias?

Muchos han argumentado acerca de que "el dinero lo mueve todo", y que los intereses económicos fueron más importantes que la seguridad o integridad de los pilotos y espectadores. Pero, ¿Se trata solo de dinero...?

Adelanto mi opinión al respecto: estoy de acuerdo en no haber cancelado el Gran Premio. Las razones las explico en el video.
