Pero, ¿qué Reyes son estos?
Esta noche yo esperaba, que llegaran los tres Reyes
Pero no los tres cantantes, de boleros de la abuela
quería ver tres camellos, con jinetes bien trajeados,
alforjas bien rebosantes, de mirra, oro e inciensos,

Pero, ¿qué reyes son estos?
Que se visten de esa forma, con telas para cortinas
¿Será que me los cambiaron, por las libras esterlinas?
Nunca jamás había visto unos reyes tan extraños,
esas batas las cocieron con alfileres y ganchos

Pero, ¿qué Reyes son estos?
Con relojes con pulseras, anillos y uñas pintadas,
Eso me parece raro, ¿de dónde los sacarían?
El de abajo mira al cielo, ¿y qué se le perdería?
La bata que usa, parece, la sábana de mi tía.

Pero, ¿qué Reyes son estos?
Las coronas son graciosas, parecen la del Rey Momo
Esos rolletes de paño, los sacarían de mi casa,
porque fui a buscar mi cena, y vi desnuda la sala

Pero, ¿qué Reyes son estos?
La de arriba se reía, no sé qué le hacía cosquilla
La otra, hecha la dormida, aguantándose la risa
Aunque mirándolo bien, creo que en la mano tenía,
muy pero muy escondida, una cerveza bien fría.

Pero, ¿qué reyes son estos?
Pues ahora les diré, ¿quiénes?, llevan los disfraces:
la de la izquierda soy yo, sonriendo para la foto
mi sobrina a la derecha que no aguantaba la risa
Y mi hermano de rodillas, ruega una foto de prisa.

Pero, ¿qué Reyes son estos?
Con todo nuestro respeto, mis queridos Reyes Magos,
nosotros nos disfrazamos para llevar los juguetes,
a los niños de la casa, y de la cuadra de al lado.
¡Bienvenidos!, y perdonen, es humor venezolano.

But which Kings are these?
Tonight I was expecting the three kings to arrive
But not the three singers of grandmother's boleros
I wanted to see three camels, with well-dressed riders,
saddlebags well filled with myrrh, gold and incense,

But what kings are these?
That they dress like that, with cloth for curtains
Could it be that they have been exchanged for pounds sterling?
I never saw such strange kings before,
Those gowns were made with pins and hooks.

But what kings are these?
With watches with bracelets, rings and painted nails,
That seems strange to me, where would they get them from?
The one below looks up at the sky, And what would he miss?
The robe he wears, it seems, My aunt's sheet.

But what kings are these?
The crowns are funny, they look like King Momo's.
Those cloth rolls, they'd get her out of my house,
because I went to get my dinner, and I saw the living room naked.

But what Kings are these?
The one upstairs was laughing, I don't know what tickled her.
The other one, pretending to be asleep, holding in her laughter.
Although, on closer inspection, I think she was holding a beer in her hand,
very, very hidden, a very cold beer.

But what kings are these?
Well, now I'll tell you who are wearing the costumes:
The one on the left is me, smiling for the photo.
My niece on the right, who couldn't contain her laughter.
And my brother on his knees, begging for a photo in a hurry.

we dressed up to bring toys
